Why a school uniform

My opinion about school uniform is that it is a good idea to have a uniform. If school students are poor and rich, you can not find difference between them, if they use school uniform. School uniform can also be good because many students tease others about how their clothes are. I think, it is very good that many schools have uniform.
An other advantage for the school uniform could be that you do not always have to change your clothes every second day. Some students will not be mobbed because every students have the same uniform, but boys and girls have difference uniforms. The disadvantage for the school uniform is that parents can not afford it. Sometimes the teacher can be confused, because all students have the same uniform. It might be good if the pupils in our school wear school uniforms. Primarily, the students will see much better with school uniform than the normal clothes, they use everyday at school. Secondarily, any student in the school can not be embarrassed with their clothes. But it is also difficult for the parents to pay the price the school uniforms cots. I am sure that some students and parents are not on this agreement, but I am also sure that some students and parents are with the agreement as described above. The students will be equal with other children, who are rich. Of course, I will wear a school uniform, because I want to try something, I never have done before. Because the students in England use uniforms, I always wonder about in which way the uniform affects their performance at school. I think, that it will not be a good idea that teachers weares the same type school uniform as the pupils. I am of that idea, that it will look much better, if the teachers have their own uniform.
The following shows the price of school uniforms for girls and boys. I found the price list in internet. But the prices can vary.

Girls outfits | Jumper, Short-Sleeved Blouse, Sweater | $ 45.00 | Flare Pants, Polo, Sweater | $ 50.00 | Solid Skirt, Long-Sleeved Polo | $ 33.00 | Skort and Short-Sleeved Polo | $ 28.00 | In total | $ 156.00 |

Boys outfits | Double Knee Pants, Short-Sleeved Oxford, Vest Sweater | $49.00 | Pleated Short and Short Sleeved Polo | $27.00 | Double Knee Pants, Long-Sleeve Dress Shirt | $34.00 | Double Knee Pants, Polo | $30.00 | In total | $140.00 |

Sometimes the prices of school uniforms are very costly to one´s parents. I think it will help the school because no one will be mobbed more, so they can feel safe in the school. They will take the school more serious than before. Many of the students disciplin will be much better when they have school uniforms.

Why Should School Uniforms Be Allowed In Schools

...Jarod Kintz once said, “Freedom is being you without anyone’s permission.” School uniforms should not be mandatory for young children. Kids in schools should have the freedom to choose their outfits. Permission from adults on what to wear. Having the freedom to choose will take a lot of pressure off the adults. Even though having school uniforms lives would be easier. Everyone would feel equal, and there would be less stress. School uniforms should not be allowed. School uniforms are not going to stop bullying, school uniforms are not going to stop judging, and school uniforms are going to be costly. Today, bullying is a main cause around schools. Bullying occurs everywhere. It does not matter what an individual is wearing, or who they are, bullying still occurs. “The judgment of the Lord are true and righteous altogether” (Lincoln 280). Why School Uniforms Should Be Worn in Schools.

...Uniforms Should be Worn in Public School The issue of implemeting a school uniform policy has had it’s share of strong supporters and oppositioners Some parents and educators say that uniforms help students stay focused on academics instead of style, while others believe that kids should have a choice of what they wear to school. After reading several articles and considering both sides of the issue, I firmly believe that uniforms should be mandatory from elementary through high school. I believe this because they help reduce socioeconomic status, help ensure safety and attendance in schools.. Uniforms can help break down barriers of economic differences by not emphasizing name brand clothing. I believe it is unfair that rich kids get to come to school wearing designer clothes while the poor kids are identified as poor or loser because of the way they dress. If all schools adopt the uniform policy, students will be judged for who they are, not what they wear. A survey by the National Association of Elementary School Principals titled, National Survey of School Leaders Reveals 2013 Uniform Trends, point out that there is a steady growth of uniforms or formal dress code policies in schools. School leaders that were surveyed believe their current uniform or formal dress code policy made significant progress on peer pressure by 86 percent and bullying by 64 percent ( NAESP 2013). I feel that when students no longer have to compete to see who can wear the latest styles...

Why We Should Require School Uniforms

...Should schools require school uniforms? In my opinion, schools should require school uniforms for many reasons. A survey said 39% of school students get bullied because of the clothes they wear. It could help out the families who don’t have the money to be spending on clothes. Dress code is also a big thing in school that can be cut down if uniforms were an option. Bullying has been a huge problem in some schools. Bullying is basically students picking on other students because they’re different or they look different. I feel like if the school has everyone dress the same there would be less bullying. No one would be sad or feel like they don’t fit in because of the way they dress, if we had uniforms. Every year before school starts your...

Why the Society Should Be for Wearing Uniforms

...Running Head: FOR SCHOOL UNIFORMS Main Title: Why the Society Should Be For Wearing Uniforms Emillye Edington Southern University of Shreveport Instructor: Joyce Cottonham 1 FOR SCHOOL UNIFORMS 2 Why Society Should Be For School Uniforms There are many resources that suggest that uniforms should be worn nationwide not only in private schools, but public schools as well. If we take into consideration that it may help children to behave more effentily in school then school systems could be better as well. There are many reasons as to why it could make children behave better. Bullying in schools could be decreased, unity could increase, and parents could save money by purchasing uniforms. Although bulling in schools is a worldwide epidemic that can create negative consequences, if the students wore uniforms we could minimize this horrific behavior. Students should not have to worry about if their clothes are good enough to please someone else’s expectations. According to Laura Clark, “Having a uniform helps to reduce bullying in school. Students at schools without uniform codes were liable to be bullied for the way they dressed the study found.” Teenagers who took part in the Oxford Brookes University survey said dress codes acted as a social leveler and reduced the risk of children being picked on for wearing “weird” clothes. Maybe we can decrease bullying by having school uniforms for the dress code. Having every student dress just alike would...

No More School Uniforms

...No School Uniforms Taylor Roberts Kaplan University CM107, Professor Healey April, 13, 2015 No School Uniforms It has been a very controversial topic between students, parents and teachers all across the U.S whether or not students should be wearing uniforms to school. I think there is so much debate over it because it does have an effect on how a person feels at school and maybe by limiting self-expression it could change how a person develops in their life. If it is a mandatory rule and a student is uncomfortable or feels strongly against it could actually cause more problems and may have a lasting impact on how a person responds to authority in the future. A lot of people feel that dressing the same could and does help eliminate bulling and bring their focus more on academics Due to ongoing shootings and in school violence Author Maria Wilde (2015), states that public schools should have the option of requiring uniforms to help identify intruders in the school and prevent gangs from forming on school grounds. While students and parents may fuss about the dress code while they are attending school according to an article I read online titled Why Public Schools Should Have Uniforms (Foxcove.com Home. N.p., n.d. 2015), most people neglect to factor in that...

Should the Voting Age Be Lowered to Thirteen ?

...Why should students not wear uniforms Would you enjoy having to wear the same close every day? Well, about 23% of schools in the United States make their students wear uniforms. I don’t believe schools should require their students to wear uniforms. I think students should be able to choose what they would like to wear to school and not have to wear the same outfit 180 days a year. Here are some reasons why I think schools shouldn’t have uniforms. They take away the students freedom, they negatively affect the students, and many students don’t like school uniforms. First, it takes away students freedom. Clothes are a major way how people express themselves. For example, I like to wear a hoodie and jeans. Others may like to wear the colors of their favorite team, like their favorite basketball team or a football jersey. Others may like to wear just a t-shirt and shorts if they feel like something more casual. Uniforms would take that freedom away from the students. How would you feel about that? Also, uniforms might get the feeling that the school is controlling them. What you wear plays a big part of who you are, and if everyone in school is wearing the exact same thing, it feels like you are not yourself. Lots of times, uniforms might take away someone's self-image and they might feel funny. This is just one out of many reasons why uniforms are a bad idea. Second, it might affect the student's academic achievement.. Studies show that uniforms actually have a negative...

In the three texts there are mentioned about some of peoples opinion about uniforms in school. Otherwise, we meet a man “Dr. Alan Hilfer who is a senior psychologist in the Children’s and Adolescent Unit at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He agrees with some pupils who does not feel comfortable wearing uniforms, but on the other side Dr. Hilfer says that wearing uniforms makes the pupils focus a lot more on school, and they can also identify their self with others. It is better for the pupils. In the text 2 we meet a Professor Margaret Harris, he talks about the behavior wearing the uniforms. The pupils do not need to focus on what others a wearing, what kind of person they are, or were they belong in all the kind of groups that exists. Suzanne Moore talks about the meaning of wearing uniforms in school. She does not agree with Dr. Alan Hilfer and Professor Margaret Harris. She does not see anything good about wearing the uniforms. Hillhurst School Must Wear Uniforms

...Three Reasons Why Students at HIllhurst School Must Wear Uniforms C: Good Morning/Afternoon ladies and gentleman. Today we are going to present 3 points supporting the resolution: Be it resolved that students at Hillhurst School must wear uniforms. I am Cassie and I will discuss how uniforms provide equality. Now I will define the resolution: By uniforms, we mean outfits that still enable you to have free choice in jackets, shoes, socks and everything but tops and pants. Also when we mean by uniforms we mean a summer outfit and a winter outfit so the students will not be too cold or too warm. C: My first point on why uniforms can provide equality is that you do not have to buy anything to “fit in”. With uniforms you can make your friends because of their personality and things that you both like, such as art or science, not because they have designer outfits and the biggest friend group. That way, it makes it a lot easier to have friends and a lot harder to have enemies. My second point is that everyone is at the same level. No one can act like, or actually be, better than anyone else. Also no one can have more friends because they have more money. For example if there was a nice kid who was good at...

Truth-in-Sentencing Laws Do Not Deter Crime

...Should uniforms be required in schools? Dominique Groom English 147 April 13, 2015 Phoenix University Should uniforms be required in schools For many years dress code have been a major issue for schools because most students find it hard to follow the rules on what they can wear to school and what they’re not allowed to wear to school. I think that clothing is a major issue when it comes to the education of the students because if a student doesn’t feel comfortable with what they have on it’s going to be hard for that student to pay attention in class. That’s why a lot of parents believe that uniforms should be required in all schools from elementary to high school students. In my opinion I believe that wearing uniforms can be a big help not only for the students but for the parents too because it would cause less distraction and it will help lower the cost on clothing for the parents who really can’t afford to buy their children expensive clothing. Students should be required to wear school uniforms because it creates a professional and orderly environment. When students wear uniforms it makes the school look very professional because everyone is dressed the same and you don’t have to worry about students coming to school overdressed or half dressed. When schools required students to wear uniforms it eliminates competition between students because some of the student’s parents might not have the funds to buy them expensive or nice clothing. Wearing...

...day and putting on the same boring uniform. Imagine if the kids can show their freedom and feelings with an excitement in school. For this there is a solution school uniform should be banned . One of the numerous logic why uniforms should be banned because it literally violate student right and wont let the kid express themselves in their own way. It doesn’t let the student to show their creativity, for example by wearing school uniforms it reduce the choosing habit among kids and it fail to allow student to learn good choices in future. It also destroy the different uniq each student has. Somehow it affects the right of the student, uniform also much expensive when comparing to casual clothes. School uniforms are rare and limited clothing so it properbly coast much higher price and when student get older they have to spend more money on different size of uniforms and it compulsory to wear the suitable size for each students. Therefore finicial burden of poor families cant afford school uniforms because the strong reason of expensive . after all old uniforms seems to be no useful for anyone. Another reason why school uniform should be banned from school because it is not safe for students and treat can be target specific school or students in different ways. If schools have different uniforms their might be chance for conflict or clash between schools. For an example student student from school make fun of other school uniforms, which cause trouble adjusting to be...

School Uniforms

...School Uniforms School uniforms! Who likes them?! Not ME! Over the past years, school boards, teachers, parents have been pushing for uniforms. “students dress inappropriate” they say. “Boys sag and girls wear to tight or not enough clothing!”. Well students have the right to dress the way the want too. Let's face the music, children and teenagers are growing up much faster than anyone had expected. Their peers, family, home, music, and television are all influencing them on how they behave and dress. The numerous ways students dress can reflect countless of messages such as the latest fashion trend, hand-me-downs, whatever is comfortable, or violence. I remember when I was in middle school. I did not wear the cutest clothes or was with the current fashion trend and was often left out when my friends were talking about clothes. I felt like I did not belong, but I did not want to buy expensive clothing just to feel included by my friends. Even though students' individuality is important to express one's self, uniforms should be adopted in some public schools because it lowers disciplinary referrals and helps students focus on learning. Many students of public schools believe that school uniforms should not be introduced because it is restraining people's freedom of expression and does not create diversity. One example how uniforms restrict learners are that "without the outlet of expression in their clothes, students may turn to inappropriate hair styles, jewelry, or makeup"...

Changing Behavior Case Analysis

...to Wear School Uniforms? Jennifer Mountain Mrs. Frances Jullian Composition 2 Do school uniforms help curb violence, foster a better learning environment or promote discipline in students? Many people think so and are pushing the issue and requiring schools to enforce it. I couldn’t agree more with wearing school uniforms. I feel students should have to wear uniforms, however, even though there are several advantages and disadvantages on this controversy, I believe it is definitely beneficial for students and their future at hand. I am going to address several advantages as to why school uniforms should be worn both in private and public schools nationwide by including factors such as how uniforms decrease crime and increase safety, how uniforms create a level playing field among students to reduce peer pressure and bullying, and how uniforms are more effective than standard dress codes and prevent displays of inappropriate behavior. First of all, I’m going to explain how wearing school uniforms decreases crime and increases safety. Supporting statistics show that schools that mandate wearing uniforms have seen a significant decrease in student fights, possession of weapons, gang activity, graffiti, property damage, and battery by sixty three percent. School uniforms also prevent students from concealing weapons under baggy clothes, make it easier to keep track of students on class field trips, and keep intruders on school grounds...

Should Student Have to Wear Uniforms to School

...Student Have To Wear Uniforms To School? The great debate continues about should students have to wear school uniforms? There is no definitive answer as it entirely depends upon the persons beliefs. There are benefits for some children who wear uniforms and disadvantages to others. The main reason schools in America choose not to allow their students to wear their own clothes is because of the gangs. Having a uniform stops gang members from displaying their colors and garb. The schools also believe it helps stop violence and helps instill a sense of pride in the students. It also helps to break down the barriers between different socioeconomic groups. A couple different reasons why I think there shouldn’t be uniforms. First, School uniforms inhibit student’s individuality. Young people often express their feelings through the clothing that they wear. Uniforms will take away this form of expression. Why should school districts try to make everyone look the same? Secondly, A school uniform policy inhibits a student's freedom of choice. Schools teach students that our country is a free one. But when school boards make students wear what they tell them too-- it curtails the students' freedom. Third, there is the issue of cost. Many parents shop for their children's clothes at used and discount stores. Uniforms can cost more money than these families might be able to afford. Also, these students would need to buy additional clothing to wear after school and on the weekends. That's...
