Personal Reflection
Directions: Briefly summarize your personal reflection on the information that you have entered into Tables 1 and 2 in this assignment.

After reading up on the Panthiest and what their views are, I come to the conclusion that these are people who respect the laws of science to a degree. They do acknowledge that there are some questions that science cannot answer. From what I have gather, I do not see where they give any credit to the afterlife except acknowledging that there is an afterlife but that each person creates their own depending upon the action and memories in which they leave behind accompanied by the recycling of our elements in nature. So basically everything is left up to the individual. This was a bit much for me to grasp or even try understanding. I am a Christian and stand firm in my belief in God and what awaits me in the afterlife. I know and trust in the bible when it tells me that I will be held accountable for all that I do that is immoral and sinful. My only salvation is to pray for forgiveness and repent. I believe that when I meet my maker I will be fully aware of what is going on and although my body, the keeper of my soul, will be no more: I will. I do not believe that I will become a part of nature or this force that pantheists speak about. I know that I am not God. I am a product of God made in his image.

Actually... Santa Claus Is My Grandfather!

...Actually... Santa Claus is my grandfather! *The following story is purely based on my imagination. :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Present 1 (it just means chapter 1, instead of writing chap 1, I feel this is more interesting? XD ) 'Will you be my queen, princess?' he spoke with so much love and gentleness, it could melt any girl's heart. Yes! I longed to say yes. I don't really know why but I just have this feeling that I have to say yes. However, the sad thing is that I can only see a black silhouette of this 'king' or 'prince' kneeling in front of me. I couldn't see his face. 'Yes,' I whispered lightly and at the same time, I could feel blood gushed to my cheeks. He rose from his knee and lifted my chin to face him. As he leaned closer toward me, my heart was pounding rapidly against my ribcage. Of course, I am nervous and excited because I haven't had my first kiss yet. Hey! Don't you dare to laugh at me! I am just waiting for the right person to appear at the right moment for the one and only first kiss. Every girl has her right to dream. :P I closed my eyes and anticipated the moment where our lips touched. It was soft.... Wet and sticky... Hold on a minute! Wet and sticky??!! Eww!! This was superb freaking, disgusting and totally wasn't what I had expected. 'Rise and shine, dearie!' a sweet and warm voice called out. This voice sound...

...reactions (internal, personal) to that subject. Figurative description relies on creating likenesses between objects, often through simile (e.g. like a snowflake...or fragile as a snowflake...) or metaphor. Such likenesses allow the reader to perceive the object more precisely. An objective sample: The kitchen table is rectangular, seventy-two inches long and thirty inches wide. Made of a two-inch-thick piece of oak, its top is covered with a waxy oilcloth patterned in dark red and blue squares against a white background. In the right corner, close to the wall, a square blue ceramic tile serves as the protective base for a brown earthenware teapot. A single white placemat has been set to the left of the tile, with a knife and fork on either side of a white dinner plate, around nine inches in diameter. On the plate are two thick pieces of steak. (Notice how "objective" the narrator in the piece is; his or her eyes scan the scene, but there is no emotional response provoked by the scene). A subjective sample: Our lives at home converged around the pleasantly-shaped kitchen table. It was the magnet that drew our family together quite warmly. Cut from the sturdiest oak, the table was tough, smooth, and long enough for my mother, my two sisters, and me to work or play on at the same time. Our favorite light blue ceramic tile, stationed in the right corner, was the table's sole defense against the ravages of everything from a steaming teapot to the...

...Leonardo Castillo Enc 1101 M/W 5:00 pm 10/1/2012 Word count: 709 Descriptive Essay Rough draft It’s approximately four o’ clock in morning and I’m in the locker room changing my clothes. My colorless hands are chilly, my feet are weary and my body feels like is going to give up and collapse after working eight hours in a refrigerated warehouse. Even though my body just wants to give way, I manage to drag my feet all the way to my vehicle, and start rushing home which is the only thing I want to do after a long night of work. The best part of driving home at this hour of the day is that I have an open road almost all to myself. The streets are nearly empty, the drive nice and smooth and the best part is that there are no police so you can run through these streets like there’s no tomorrow. Also there are no rays of sunshine burning my eyes like in the day, the weather is nice and cool that I don’t even need to turn on my a/c which has been throwing nothing but burning air. As I get closer to home I could only think about going straight to comfy bed; however, it is not going to happen because this is the only free time during the day that I have time to study. As I am getting to the door my eyes feel unfocused and my eyelids are feeling heavy. Now that I made it to the white tarnished door, I am shuffling through my key chain to find the correct key. The darkness of the night makes it difficult to find the right one; thus, I lift my arm up toward the sky to see if...

Explication and Argumentation

...Explication and Argumentation to a Specific Audience It’s accurately described as the world’s online marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers both near and far. The vast majority of people are casual, intermittent users. But maybe you are ready to take that next step and make selling on eBay a full-time vocation. Nearly anyone can sign up and begin selling immediately, but only those who maintain the status of PowerSeller are able to financially maximize their selling experience. EBay makes a portion of their profits by extracting a fee from each attempted and actual sale. This fee is deducted from the sellers account. The fees are structured at a lower percentage for those who generate the most profit for eBay; those are the PowerSellers. A PowerSeller typically saves 5% over members of the general selling class. Other benefits exist beyond reduced fees, including access to group health insurance and representation in customer disputes. Even United Parcel Service in a cooperative agreement with eBay will offer shipping discounts to PowerSellers. With benefits such as these available, it’s obvious that the PowerSeller program is an attempt by eBay to attract recruits. The decision point for interested individuals as with any decision often comes down to the overall opportunity cost. Those can be weighed by viewing eBay’s PowerSeller and Top Rated Seller Policy. The website itself is accessible on the internet or smartphone as eBay.com. The PowerSeller requirement...

The Boring department can produce 1 piece per minute. The Drilling department has 6 machines that can produce 2.5 pieces per minute. The following table shows each department and the total capacity per hour of each department. Table 1. |Machine Center |Capacity |pieces per hour | |Milling |(5 machines)(2 Pieces/min)(60min/hour)/(16 hours/day) = |37.5 p/hr | |Grinding |(7mach)(3 p/min)(60 min/hr)/(16 hr/day) = |78.75 p/hr | |Boring |(3 mach)(1 p/min)(60 min/hr) / (16 hr/day) = |11.25 p/hr | |Drilling |(6 mach)(2.5 p/min)(60 min/hr)/(16 hr/day) = |56.25 p/hr | The table makes it easy to identify that the Boring department is where there is a bottleneck in the production system. If he were to simply triple production on the Boring...
