Writing Challenges
Three aspects of writing that have been difficult for in the past that I wish to improve on are grammar, style and process. When it comes to grammar I often find myself writing in the same manner in which I speak and that might not be appealing or accepted by certain audiences especially in the workplace. There are several ways in which I plan on going about working on these issues. The first plan is to first consider my audience and what type of presentation I will be making. Once I am able to identify my audience and topic more properly I will be able to better choose my writing style to fit the needs. For instance I need to also know if I am attempting to persuade the audience on my topic, describing a situation to them or just giving them a broad narration on the topic. By both identifying my audience and writing style this will help me to go about my thought process in a better way as well.
A problem that I would like to solve in my community is the lack of after school recreational centers for teenagers. Some of the challenges that might arise for solving this problem is getting enough parents to back you up and commit to sending their children to the center on a regular basis. Another challenge would be getting the kids to come and keeping their interest in the different topics. I would approach this topic by first presenting all of the facts and the needs for this type of service. I would also show how this would be beneficial to the community as a whole. The way in which I plan on overcoming the hurdles that I identified in the first paragraph is by conducting extensive and accurate research on the topic to ensure that we have a facility and area in place currently that would be able to accommodate the needs and size for the amount of teenagers currently in the area. Once I have done all of my research and gather all of the facts I will conduct surveys from both parents and students showing that there is not only a need for such programs and a want for the program. Once that is done I will prepare my paper and presentation in a persuasive manner and make sure that I am using proper grammar by not only using the spelling and grammar checker but by having several individuals to proofread my paper. I will also practice my presentation on several family members and friends before the presentation date to ensure that I come across intelligent, precise and to the point.

3 Challenges That Arise When Writing a Paper.

...identifying three challenges that might arise when writing a paper. Write a second paragraph of at least 200 words explaining the strategies you will use to overcome those challenges. Some people may face many challenges that may arise when writing a paper. Three challenges I believe a writer may face are writing anxiety, not knowing where to begin, and making your writing flow. Many people may face writers anxiety. I personally have this issue. This challenges may occur when a writer is adjusting to a new form of writing, limited time, or dealing with stresses at home, not related to school. Not knowing where to begin when writing is another challenge. After he or she gathers sources, the challenge may arise on where to begin on their paper. Some begin with the introduction, others may begin with a conclusion. I believe it all depends on the topic. Sometimes certain topics will be easy to gather, and organize to begin a well written paper. Others however, may be a task. Last, a challenge may be making your writing flow. A writer may lose focus on specific area’s such as attention and detail. This problem can occur from no organization between the sentences or the paragraphs. No organization, or flow may lose the attention of your readers, causing your work to be boring and or confusing. Facing these challenges, I would consider some time and effort. There are way’s to overcome the challenges we face when writing. In the paragraph before...

...outside discrimination from being a woman but self-perception is a major obstacle. It is also necessary to continually challenge yourself. Also set goals, and reward levels for those goals. Regardless of the profession a woman choses one will have its own set of obstacles that must be overcome and shared in order to lend way for other women to follow. * Most young girls like to play house and pretend they are the mother to their baby dolls. Through cartoons where the princess are always saved by the prince or the man choses a wife are all examples of where the perception of self comes to play. This is depicted in doing battle with a certain phantom. The phantom is named “The Angel in the House”. This Angel is a symbolism of the perception instilled in a lot of women. Men are an authority figure and it is not acceptable to go against or question their word. The woman should be demure, unselfish, understanding, and sympathetic even if it is to her own expense. The Angel of the House would constantly remind that a review of a man’s literature cannot be dealt with openly by a woman. ...Thesis: The challenges of being a single parent include managing finances, responsibilities and resources The challenge of being a single parent has become harder over time. The fact is that over time things have changed but not for a single parent. Statics show that there has been a steady rise for five decades and that the births to unmarried women has crossed a threshold. An example of this would be, a single mom that can’t provide day care for her child because her income is not enough to pay the bills and day care. The challenges of being a single parent include, managing finances, responsibilities and resources, their work is never done nor are their struggles. One of the challenges a single mom has raising her son and daughter would be getting up at 4am taking 3 buses to transport her children to her mother (who lives on the other side of town). Spending 2 hours getting there and another 3 buses and a hour and a half getting to work. There is a limit on everything she does because she does not have the opportunity to get an education, she has to work and provide for her family. Pawning valuables to make ends meet when money is short, living from pay check to pay check. Child support is another challenge for a single mom when the children’s father does not work, all the financial responsibility is on the single parent. Another challenge to a single mom is that because she is a woman, to keep from being taken advantage of, she will pay more money for rent to keep...
