Candidate Instructions
HireWire is a web-based service developed to help educational institutions from primary schools to universities manage their recruitment and provide a better service to you, the candidate.
Institutions will instruct you to apply via HireWire either in the form of an online button or a URL. You will be directed to the institutions HireWire site which will provide you with details about the vacancy.
How to apply
Institutions will either use the HireWire online form or their own application form in a downloadable word format. HireWire online application form

1. Select the ‘apply for this job online’ button to complete the application form.
2. Ensure you save each page as you complete it. Sessions will timeout after 90 minutes.
3. Further and Higher education academic vacancies require you to upload a CV or supporting document. This is optional for support staff vacancies. Please include any supporting information and upload as one document only.
4. School vacancies do not require you to upload a CV or supporting document.
5. Once the form is complete, select the submit button.
6. Once submitted, the HireWire application form cannot be amended.
Institutions application form

1. Select the download button to open and save the application form.
2. Complete the application form and include any supporting documents you wish to submit. Please note only one document can be uploaded so ensure that any additional information is added to the application form.
3. To apply, please visit www.hirewire.co.uk and log in as a candidate.
4. Select the vacancy on your homepage.
5. Click the browse button to locate and attach your application form.
6. Once submitted, the application form cannot be amended.
My Homepage
You can access your homepage by visiting www.hirewire.co.uk . ‘My Homepage’ allows you to:
1. Review incomplete applications from the previous six months
2. Review submitted applications from the previous six months
3. Add/edit your contact details and equal opportunities information.
