Yellowstone National Park: one of the most beautiful parks in the United States. Yellowstone is filled with tall, sunkissed, green trees and a mountainous area with an abundance of picture perfect animals. The snowy white, gentle, parched coyote slurping out of a sparkling, runty creak; a midnight black mama and baby bear wandering free in the open, patchy grass; and a peaceful herd of buffalo laying on the lushious, sun-drenched field are only a few of the majestic pictures caught at Yellowstone. Today, if a supervolcano occurred, it would effect 3/4ths of the United States. Yellowstone Park is in the west, lying in the state of Wyoming.This eruption would affect the East Coast, but only covering it in one centimeter of ash. If someone would go outside after an eruption, they would inhale the smoke erupted and it would soon make it to their lungs. The smoke would sit in the lungs and turn into a cement-like substance, making it impossible to breathe; which would soon lead to death in a few minutes. A large eruption like that can also have a large effect on the global climate. Sulphuric acid aerosols would shoot from the volcano and, eventually, fill the air around the globe. Sulphuric acid aerosols would block the sun for days on end, making everyday a cloudy day in certain places. An eruption, like one from Yellowstone, could lead to the extinction and threaten multiple species and vegetation. Say goodbye to the precious birds and the beautiful green trees.
