A machine that spun many threads at once. o What did James Watt invent? The steam engine. o What was one advantage of the Steamboat that Robert Fulton created? It could take off under its own power. o What was one of the positive effects of Stephenson’s invention of the steam powered train? Increased communication and trade. o In your opinion what was the most significant invention during the Industrial Revolution, and why? I believe it was the steam engine because it is the source of all running machines.
