“Gah! There’s nothing to wear!”

Reed Van Kamp flopped on his bed, fumbling his delicate fingers through his slightly untamed blonde curls. Reed never had a problem with picking out clothes. In fact, clothes.. Well, there was never a shortage. (Especially when his mother is Hidle Van Kamp, the fashion editor.)
It was today, his first study date with Charlie. That is, if they actually get around studying.
As nerved racked as he is, he was really looking forward to it. Especially, when it came to Charlie. Despite being unsure of his sexuality, Reed knew he was into boys in a big way.

And Charlie, oh Oh Charlie - all Reed could think about was those beautiful blue dreamy eyes that Charlie has.
He always had the tendency to start being all giggly thinking about Charlie.

“You were standing at the edge of devastation…”

“Ooof!” Reed found himself on the yellow padded floor in his dorm. Reed, despite knowing that he’s a klutz, never really cared to actually take good care of himself. But he was thankful for Kurt, who helped him put up the pads around his room, he doesn’t even dare to imagine what kind of injuries he would get if the room wasn’t padded.

“Hey Reed, I’m coming over in ten. Try not to injure yourself while getting ready alright?”

Wait, wha - ? Charlie was coming in ten. Reed is hardly dressed up, as he tried to ninja his way through the piles of clothing he has thrown around trying to find the perfect outfit for their date, he found a really preppy vest to go with the rest of his outfit. Perfect for their date.

Reed glances in the mirror, as he tugs his vest down.

“Reed? Open up, its’ Charlie!”

Deep breathes Reed, deep breathes. As Reed approaches the door, hand clutching on that cold ice doorknob…

“Oh.. Oh those blue eyes.” As soon as Reed’s eyes met Charlie’s, the nervousness just melted away, just with one look from those dreamy blue eyes.

“Huh? What? Did you say something Reed?”

“Oh.. Oh nothing! Uhm.. Oh Nice sweater you’ve got there!”

“Mmmhmm, took me a long time to get this sweater, I am, after all going out with a fashionista! Need to be in par with you, and I must say, my sweater does match your vest pretty well!”

Reed couldn’t help but giggle; Charlie may be insane at times. But, Reed just loves how Charlie is brave, and how dangerous he is, yet at the same time Reed feels safe around him.

“Lets get going then?”

Reed heads back into his dorm to pick up his bag and car keys. Closing the doors behind him as he walks down the Windsor hallways.

“Looks like a war inside your room huh? And also, no need for your keys, I’m driving.”

Charlie never ever got around trusting Reed and him driving, I mean its obvious he’s a klutz, and the damage he might actually do while driving. (Reed begs to differ though.)

“Ow!”

“Oh dear god, what did you bump into again Reed?” Charlie comes rushing back in Reed’s direction.

Reed was really making an effort to walk slowly across the wet car park floor, but he couldn’t help but stare at Charlie and how his hair sways a little when he walks. It was then, he being distracted, walked straight into the lamppost. A streak of scarlet slowing makes its way down to Reed’s neck.
Just for a split second, Charlie did however found himself looking at Reed’s neck, realizing how smooth it was… Then only snapping back into reality.

“Reed! Oh god, for the millionth time, stop maiming yourself! You’re lucky that I always keep a plaster somewhere near…”

Charlie reaches out for Reed’s cheek, cupping it in his palms. Swiftly using his other hand to tenderly place the plaster on Reed’s cheek. For a moment, Reed felt Charlie’s smooth tender skin rub across his face, it tingled a little but he liked it.

“You comin’ or what?” As Charlie shouted from his truck. Reed caught in the daze, semi leaning on the lamppost he has bumped into earlier on.

Reed, this time being extra careful, made his way towards Charlie’s truck. He noticed how crisp the air was; he always took in delight to go out for a nice walk after a thunderstorm. Buckled in, they set off.

“Lima Bean for coffee? Then I’ll help you with that question you’re unsure of.” Charlie cruises along the road, taking a left turn. A road that took them by the lovely lake. Reed made a mental note to come back to the lake soon for another painting session; it was always so inspirational to him.

Pulling into Lima Bean, shoulders slightly brushing, both walks into the coffee shop.
Lima Bean:

“Reed, I presume it the usual Mocha for you?”

“Wait, you know my order?”

“Well, of course I do.” Charlie gave a cute little wink before turning back to the counter to place their coffee orders.

Reed takes out his notepad and starts sketching out his ideas, when he finds Charlie sitting on the armrest right next to him. Charlie smiles and places Reed’s coffee on the table.

“Just in case you spill them over your sketches.”

A tiny smile appears

Women in Pakistan

...Despite the number of women who have been beaten and raped in police custody, few police officers have ever been prosecuted for such violations of women's basic human rights. In the rare cases in which police officers have been convicted of abusing women in their custody, the convictions have always been overturned on appeal. Women who have been raped are at risk of being convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse. The victim's testimony is not taken into account in rape trials when maximum penalties are at stake. So a woman who has been raped can be sentenced to imprisonment, flogging in public or death by stoning after a trial in which she was given no chance to testify. The law under which a victim of rape may herself be punished is the Zina Ordinance which punishes sexual offences. So far the harshest punishments that can be passed under this law have not been carried out, but they remain on the statute book and could be imposed at any...

Sharia Law

...31 Intersection between Shari' a and Reproductive and/or Sexual Health and Human Rights OLAIDE ABBAS GBADAMOSI* Shari 'a has become an important feature of the legal system of the Muslim world with its attendant implications for reproductive health and human rights. Like other religious doctrines, Islam has been used to legitimize conflicting positions on gender and reproductive choice. In some cases, women were being denied rights by those who claimed to be acting in the name of 'Islamic' laws. some of which are incompatible with internationally recognized human rights. This article identifies selected sexual and reproductive health issues at the intersection ofreproductive rights and Shari 'a e.g. adultery (zina), inheritance, child marriages, polygny, and violence against women and considers how their shared concerns may prompt actions leading to the elimination of religious and cultural barriers imposed by Shari 'a which impede the implementation of international legal frameworks and consensus documents on reproductive rights. Nigeria is selected as a case study on the nature of implementation of Shari 'a law and reproductive rights. The article calls for more progressive interpretations of Islamic law to be codified in legislative reforms and/or seek to interpret Islamic law in harmony with international human rights standards and calls for the implementation of Shari 'a that would promote respect for human rights. J believe that if Islam is interpreted and applied correctly...

...New York’s Stop and Frisk Policy: Racial profiling or keeping the streets safe? Matdirch matkhafch dirha zina tal9aha zina; this isn’t a typo or my eyes crossed and I couldn’t see the keyboard properly. It is an old saying my parents had passed on down to me from their parents back home in Morocco. It means if you don’t do anything bad, you have nothing to be afraid of, and if you do good things then good things will come to you. It is the simplest way to explain why the stop and frisk policy shouldn’t be an issue. Unless of course you bring up the subject of race, which can heat up and ignite a fire of emotions on both ends of the spectrum. Unless your apart of the minorities that make up New York City, there is with little doubt you haven’t had to deal with prejudice and racial profiling. According to The New York Daily News, the black and Hispanic communities make up only 4.7% of the city’s population, yet in the year 2011 they made up 42% of the frisk stops. Even though you might not have enjoyed math or understood it, anyone could look at these numbers and become confused. Mayor Bloomberg also graciously added that 90% of the victims in the city were blacks and Hispanic (Cohen, Richard 1). Why he felt it was important to insinuate that although minorities make up the largest number for stops, they also are the largest portion of victims. Hmm, so that would be to assume that the minorities are just a problem in general with minority on minority crime? It is a highly debatable...

Peraturan-peraturan...

Ethics

...Ethics: How to live a good life  what is my worldview?  My worldview has been shaped and expanded over the course of my lifetime by many different influences. My family, friends, co-workers, teachers, and even strangers have made impacts on my life that have in one way or another changed how I view society and the world around me. The three main components that help to form my worldview are Ethics, Human Nature, and God, because they moulded my thoughts, experiences, education and life decisions. I feel the strongest aspect of my worldview is my tremendous sense of ethics. They help to guide my actions and decisions every day. Ethics to me lay the foundations of a person’s character. I feel that a person with good character will by default have a strong set of moral values and their morals will help that person to make ethical choices in their lives. My moral values have been learned from many different influences throughout my lifetime. Numerous influences in my life have been strong Muslim examples that have given me a good foundation of Allah like values. These loving examples have inspired me to live a life of compassion, service, and teaching. I strive to live ethically because I want to please God and lead others by my example. In my experience the ethical choice may not always be the popular choice, but it is the one I can live with. Human Nature has always been interesting to me. It helps me to understand why I and others tend to do the things we do. My definition...

Marxist Feminist Theory

...The objective of this paper is to evaluate why women are committing crime by using Marxist Feminist Theory. Marxist theory was that women commit crime due to capitalism and because of capitalism women feel oppressed and unequal in society. Marxist Feminist Theory Marxist Feminist theory is laid out by Friedrich Engels. Engels explains that a woman's subordinate role is not due to her biological disposition , but to her social relations. A big part of a woman's subordination is the role of a man in society and how a man controls the labor of woman and their sexual life in the home. Woman have to be subordinate in their families and must be submissive to their husbands. Gender oppression and class oppression and the relationship between and man and women in society is similar to Marxist feminist view on a capitalist society. In a capitalist society a woman' s subordinate role comes from class oppression because it is in the interest of the ruling class. Men and women are divided and different privileges while men get paid for their jobs women do not get paid for theirs( childrearing, cleaning, cooking, etc..). Men are taught by society to become dominant to the roles that have been handed to them. Understanding Why Women Commit Crime Woman murder rates have rose by eleven percent a year since the seventies. What started at six thousand in the seventies jumped to seventy-five thousand and this number is increasing. Some possible explanations for these crimes can be poverty...
