Information sharing
In UTI, Information sharing is considered to be extremely important because people will feel involved only when everything is communicated to them. They have a very good internal communication platform. They have an excellent intranet site for all the employees wherein all the internal communication, what’s happening around, entire bulletin, important announcements is put on the site. Each and every UTI employee has a PC and they have real time access to this site. All the departments like Compliance, Marketing, Fund Management make important announcements via this site. Even HR communications happen through it.
They have online training modules, e-learning facility, provided on this site, where people can learn at their own pace. Also news clippings and important happenings are available. People are continuously fed with a lot of information thus enabling a very good information sharing mechanism.
There are newsletters from the chairman for the employees. Family happenings, not only photographs but also achievements of children like any scholarship they have received or if they have topped their class / school, is also conveyed through this site. In fact, the chairman presents awards to the top rankers. So last year, people who got above 90% were awarded mementos by the chairman with the entire family present. This generally happens at the end of the year in April when the results come out.
