The article is relevant to the report on visualization technique used by companies. However, the limitation of its relevance is that most of the words of the article is stating the positive aspects of visualization, only a few words is about the negative aspect. In addition, some evidence in the article is not strict enough and decrease the persuasion of the article. Therefore, it is not objective enough to as an academic source.

Smiciklas (2012) argues that the use of infographics in marketing, content strategy and communication can help make a business cooretation. The author’s argument is based on several benefits of using infographics in the business context. While the author’s putting emphasis on how useful infographics is when it is implemented into the business communication mix is closely relevant to the assessment task, it is easy to observe that the author use only a few words to describe the risks of statistics visualization, which causes an imbalance.

Generally speaking, the article is objective and there are many examples as a evidence to support the author. However, the evidence process is not stict. Smiciklas (2012) interviewed many famous people in business field and use their words as evidence. For instance, in the part of ‘using cartoons to communicate your ideas’, Tom think the humor within the cartoon will help readers to overcome their confusion (Smicilas 2012, p.40). Although Tom is a famous people, his words is not appropriate to support the ideas when the article is an academic report. Therefore, the evidence of the article is not valid and powerful and the author should collect some information on an academic book to use, whick makes the article tends to be an introduction of the assessment topic and is not helpful for finding additional research.
