Whether you believe it was a justified act of defiance or the destruction of private property, the December 16th Boston Tea Party was inevitable. Anyone that has been bullied can relate to being pushed to act. As colonists, we have endured the obligations of being taxed without representation and King George III further insults us by having a low quality product being pushed through the Tea Act. As colonists, we are not fooled by Parliament’s ploy and it is their incompetence that has brought us to this day. The Patriot leader, Samuel Adams, and his Sons of Liberty had their hands pushed by Governor Thomas Hutchinson’s actions.
