Abstract

The authors, William Fay and Linda Shepherd in their book Share Jesus Without Fear (1999), present an easy way to share Jesus to those around you without being afraid. The book presents an organized system of how to share the ‘Good News’ of Jesus Christ with non-believers. Fay describes his experiences with people who tried to share Jesus with him. He brought out the point that the people did not fail, even though their people’s presentation did not result in him immediately accepting Jesus Christ as his lord, and Savior. Fay said the reason they did not fail is because “causing a person to turn towards God” is the work of the Holy Spirit.1 The book defines successful evangelism as sharing your faith in Jesus Christ and living for Him. The author’s bring out the point that successful evangelism, “has nothing to do whatsoever with bringing a person to Christ.”2 This statement is important for the readers because it relieves you of the work of saving souls. The authors are letting the readers know that the act of “sharing Jesus” is their only responsibility and if we do not share Jesus we are committing the “sin of silence,” because silence is disobedience to a direct order from God.3 The authors believe that when people choose to obey they enter into a deeper relationship with God and will begin
