A DAY AT THE PARK

"Albert, wake up! Let’s go to the park". I heard this faintly sound from the depths of my sleep. I woke up to find my little cousin sitting near me on the bed. She was very eager to leave for the park. I had woken up a little bit irritated, but I figured out that it was the time that she and I spend some quality time. I got up and took care of my morning necessities. We got in the car and we were on our way to the park. She was very happy and eagerly waiting for the park to come. On the way to the park she enjoyed too much by the toys she had with her. We enjoyed the soft music in the car.

As we entered the front gate of the park, we could see the huge mass of greenery that spread itself around us. We followed the few signs to reach our destination. We were searching for the skating part in the park. We got out of the car I found the nice place to lay down my things and my little cousin ran to the skating ramps, as if she had just one hour to live. It was a very pleasant day. The breeze was seemed to playfully invite everyone to enjoy themselves. At the park children were laughing, jumping up and down all over the place. The sun was high in the sky and the only protection I had from its burning rays were the poufy cloud puffs that would occasionally hug little yellow dot that we call the sun.

In awe at how world was created, I hold my hands up to my face and make the border around my eyes. I picture myself a part of painting at that moment I felt like the cartoon character painted on to canvas of the world. The leaves on trees were so detailed and multicolored each leaf contributing to trees entirely. The birds chirping melodically gave the complete scene. I felt an inner peace and the feeling of connection. It was the day I was subconsciously waiting my whole life but I didn’t realize it until it was happening. We first of all enjoy the

A Sunny Day in Bryant Park

...A Sunny Day in Bryant Park Today was sunny, neither cold nor hot. After lunch, I hung out to Bryant Park to relax myself. There were a large number of people at that time due to the brilliant weather, I supposed. Nearly all the positions were occupied. Some were chatting with each other during the lunch time, happily and breezily. While some young boys enjoyed themselves going skating or playing tennis. Others, especially some old men and women would rather take nap in the leisure time. Under the heavy pressure in my studies, in fact, seldom had I observed people so carefully like this. In most cases, I always passed by the park as quickly as I could to save the time. It seemed that everyone had his own story and in different moods. It interested me a lot. While I was walking with no aim and destination, a slim woman with blonde hair suddenly caught my eye. Sitting on a chair at the corner of the park with an elegant posture and wearing headphones while indulging herself in the books, she frowned suddenly just like coming across some problems. A formal suit, a pair of delicate high heels, black coat on the chair. All these indicated that she was an office lady. Drinking a cup of Starbucks while skimming through the documents, she pulled the beautiful long black hair gently from time to time. She might work in the office not far away and have some tasks to deal with, which should have been finished in the morning. In the light of the exhaustion shown on her face, I thought...

California National Parks

...areas, known as the National Parks, that people visit every day. Out of the fifty plus parks eleven of them are not on the continental US. California has nine national parks and the top three are; Yosemite Valley National Park, Channel Islands National Park, and Redwood Forest National Park. First let's start with Yosemite Valley National Park, which is located in northern California. John Muri, a Scottish immigrant, founded the park in early October, 1890. The park is home to more than 400 species of vertebrates including reptiles, birds, fish, mammals, and amphibians. Approximately 40 species in Yosemite Valley National Park have a special status under California endangered species legislation. The combination of moisture, climate, soils, and topography influence the plant communities across the valley. Like most national parks Yosemite offers camping, letting you experience the park for all it’s worth. They also have hiking, rock climbing, and fishing too. The nighttime even shows us the beauty of space with star gazing. Next is the Channel Islands National Park that’s located off the coast of California. Out of all eight of the Channel Island only five make up the national park. The Channel...

Markting Mix Thorpe Park

...Thorpe Park Task 1 AO1 Company history * What is Thorpe Park Thorpe Park is a theme park located in England, surrey which was built in 1979, with an aim of being a water themed park. At first the site was a gravel pit owned by Ready Mixed Concrete Limited who excavated gravel, but then in the 1970’s the company flooded part of the site with the intention of creating water based theme park; the other side of the park would have been used for an educational park with the theme of the history of British people. Then in 2008 Tussauds group was bought by Merlin Entertainments group which is the second largest visitor’s attraction operator in the world and the largest visitor’s attraction in Europe for £1 billion which meant they now owned Thorpe Park. Contrast Essay

...the most common places people go to when they have visitors are theme parks or city fairs. Theme parks and city fairs are very different and each provides us with their type of fun activities. Theme parks have a great advantage over city fairs when it comes down to rides, bigger location, and price. Many people prefer theme parks because they offer better activities for fun, which gives theme parks an advantage over city fairs. An advantage theme parks have would be the rides. Everyone who has been to a theme park enjoys its rides. The rides are fast and they go in different directions which makes it better for the customers because it does not make them dizzy. They also last for a longer a period of time which makes it worth wild because sometimes you have to wait in line for an hour or even more. Also, theme parks are located in bigger place which gives more people the opportunity to attend at whatever time they like and still find tickets available. The bigger location of the park comes in handy because it does not get crowded and you have enough space to walk comfortable without anyone bumping into you. Another advantage theme parks have over city fairs is the price. The tickets are around thirty dollars and sometimes they have offers were you buy one get one ticket free. Theme parks are very fun and you get what you pay for. In contrast, we have city fairs which are very different from theme parks and are not worth attending. City fair rides are lame all they do is...
