Grant: Grant started of as a self centered kind of know it all person and didn't think of the situation with jefferson with its whole. For example on page 29 Grant is wanting vivian to leave with him and to leave everything behind showing he wants to just abandon the problem and not help jefferson and mrs emma. This shows a lot of immaturity and lack of integrity and selfless. But as the story progresses Grant’s attitude toward the situation changes. On page 197 as Grant is waiting fro Vivian he thinks about jefferson and what he’s gonna write in his journal and what his handwriting would look like. This shows how Grants commitment with Jefferson has lead him to really care about Jefferson and is willing to help

This was a significant event with regards to humanitarian intervention in recent history as it was seen as a new international phenomenon. It was the first time that a group of states intervened without the authorization of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and it was also the first time that NATO used military force to prevent a humanitarian disaster. This event divided the world in their support for or against NATO’s humanitarian intervention in Kosovo. Critics of the intervention felt that NATO was breaking international law in acting without the authority of the UNSC and this could have jeopardized international order should any state or group of states decide to act on their own accord in intervening in a foreign territory in the future. Supporters of the intervention argue that the war gave human rights precedence over the rights of states. DAUBER E Othello is Shakespeare's Spenserian tragedy, in which the theme of slandere d chastity becomes a vehicle for exploring the problems of an allegorica l art . Allegory is the mode of selfconscious faith, and Spenser's corpus may be rea d as a portrai t of the artis t as allegorist , wrestling first with the burdens of selfconsciousness and then with the burdens of faith.l In Othello, Shakespeare compresses and objectifies this struggle. Unlike Spenser, he is not committed to the maintenance of allegory, and so he freely dramatizes the interna l weaknesses and external onslaughts that lead to its destruction. What I am calling the 'Spenserian ' quality begins with the chivalric elements in the tragedy.
