ABC Beds Information Paper

From: Mauro Camacho
To: Marketing Director (Dr. Olsen)
Subject: Analysis for sales distribution of ABC beds

Problems/Situation: ABC bed is one the most requested beds for old people, in the states. Our team consist of a sale force of 10 people + our sales director.

Sector 3 takes into account Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Wyoming. The number of homes our sales representative have to take into consideration is 1432 and cover a total of 502, as we can see from appendix A there Section 3 cover 12% of the total sales and employees have to travel 502 sqm(k) which is 4% of area.

As we can see from appendix A, there is a fairly even distribution among the areas except for Area 1. Since we have on our company only 10 sales people and our sector is fairly large with number of retire homes I do think the sector is feasible, since our product has high brand equity and people already know what it is, however it would take time. This takes into account, that there at least two people working for our sectors over a time period of one year.

Discussion: Overall the situation doesn’t take into account the number of old people per sector, as we can see from appendix B, the number of old people from now till 2060, will only keep on increasing. This means we have a lager market to cover. Some people do not go to retire home; there is new opportunity and a new market that ABC beds can go into.

Recommendations

I can only recommend hiring more sales representative in order to penetrate new markets and increase our market share. Start a new marketing plan that will allow ABC beds to market to old people at home.

Why? Having accurate costs is important for a variety of reasons: a company might find that it has a difficult time determining which of its products is most profitable. Alternatively, it finds its sales increasing but profits declining and cannot understand why. Perhaps the company keeps losing competitive bids for products and services and does not understand why. In many cases, accurate cost information is the answer to these questions. Accurate cost information provides a competitive advantage. Undercosted products can lead to the appearance of predatory pricing where it actually does not exist. E-Books vs. Printed Books: the 21st Century Debate by Elana Goodwin on September 12, 2014

...E-Books vs. Printed Books: The 21st Century Debate By Elana Goodwin on September 12, 2014 Tweet Pin It E-book sales have skyrocketed in recent years as personal digital reading devices have steadily risen in popularity since the Amazon Kindle was released in 2007. This trend has sparked a worldwide debate of the pros and cons of e-books vs. printed books and what technological advances in reading means for the publishing industry as a whole. Back in 2010, when Apple came out with the first generation of its tablet, the iPad, the Pew Research Center found that only 5 percent of Americans owned an e-reader and 4 percent owned a tablet. But as e-readers improved their design and debuted increasingly sleeker, more intuitive, larger memory models, e-reader ownership grew. Photo Credit: u-publish.com Today, those numbers have severely multiplied, with 32 percent of Americans owning an e-reader and 42 percent owning a tablet, those devices being two of the biggest ways e-books are consumed by readers. http://www.uloop.com/news/view.php/134689/E-Books-vs-Printed-Books-The-21st-Cent However, though e-reader and e-book sales numbers seem to be constantly growing, a report by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) showed that in 2013, hardcover book sales in the U.S. were actually up while overall U.S. e-book sales were actually down about 5 percent. The AAP found that hardcover book sales rose 11.5 percent to $778.6 million through August of 2013 while e-book sales were...

It was on this day that a sports broadcasting company called ESPN aired their first episode on live television in all of America. ESPN is an American based cable and satellite television channel that focuses on sports related information. The show included live and pre-taped shows of sports highlights and talk shows. The name ESPN came from an acronym standing for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. Even though In order to watch ESPN you have to have some sort of cable or satellite, it changed the way we the people view sports because it provides instant sports information at any time and it allows you to watch sporting events on your television, instead of actually being at the game. It was in 1978 when a man named Bill Rasmussen was facing unemployment, until he had a great idea about broadcasting sports through television (ESPN Founder) Eventually Bill founded ESPN and provide America with its first 24-hour sports network in 1979. Hamilton, 1997 Anita Blake, vampire hunter, is now herself a hunted woman. Who put the $500,000 price on her head--a man or a monster? It's not just her own skin she needs to save; the rivalry between her werewolf boyfriend, Richard, and Marcus, the other alpha werewolf in his pack, has come to full boil. And there's always Jean-Claude, the vampire who's been waiting for just the right moment to slip inside Anita's head and heart. 1 The most beautiful corpse I'd ever seen was sitting behind my desk. Jean-Claude's white shirt gleamed in the light from the desk lamp. A froth of lace spilled down the front, peeking from inside his black velvet jacket. I stood behind him, my back to the wall, arms crossed over my stomach, which put my right hand comfortably close to the Browning Hi-Power in its shoulder holster. I wasn't about to draw on Jean-Claude. It was the other vampire I was worried about. The desk lamp was the only light in the room. The vampire had requested the overheads be turned out. His name was Sabin, and he stood against the far wall, huddling in the dark. He was covered head to foot in a black, hooded cape. He looked like something out of an old Vincent Price movie. I'd never seen a real vampire dress like that. The last member of our happy little group was Dominic Dumare. He sat in one of the client chairs. He was...
