I cannot stress any more about how perfectly my own motivations and personality could fill your position at Dreamsforge. My background in business administration has given me loads of exposure to the cognitive and quantitative skills necessary to excel in your Marketing and Operations Lead position, but my own personal ambitions promises to offer your team something much more exciting than this. Your team has stated that entrepreneurial motivations are important for this position; I take this as a given. I have been heavily interested in the startup scene for my entire life. Such interest has led me to push forward with two of my own startups; which both were just short of their goal in KickStarter fundraising, mostly due to a lack of resources as well as competitors beating me to the market. I tend to treat these as learning experiences; although the projects did not go quite as intended, they have really introduced me to the Seattle Tech scene. I frequently attend their meetings, getting to know people in the industry and better positioning me for projects in the future. The future world of 3d printing is endlessly vast and filled with potential opportunity. Realizing this, I decided to create a prototype for one of my early projects via CAD modeling and 3D printing. Once I taught myself Maya, there was no going backI was hooked. To gain more experience and exposure I turned to the 3D printing scene in Seattlewhich, at this time, is still very limited. There are only two locations in the city in which people can get objects printed: one of which requires an expensive membership, the other, still uses a MakerBot Replicator 1 and refuses to print at a resolution higher than 400 microns. This has led me to using alternative services, such as ShapeWays and MakeXYZ, which are both interesting but are limited in their own unique manner. These shortfalls have led me on a path looking for potential for growth and new, innovative software and technology in the 3d printing world. I've noticed that your team is interested in someone with previous startup experience in a marketing role, and I cannot provide you with this. However, I am well positioned with professionals in Seattle who are not short of advice, nurturing attention, and seed money that could really get this project off the ground running. Might I add, I'm convinced that my motivation towards this industry will act as a better precursor than previous experience. I recognize how thrilling the world of 3d printing is; it is a world I am already involved with and thinking about. Technology excites me; I'm prepared to tackle this project fullforce. I am excited to not only manage branding and marketing, but also in helping innovate with ideas and directions for the company looking forward in an increasingly competitive marketplace. If my skill sets match those of which your company seeks, then I would be very happy to discuss this further. Look forward to hearing from your team.

Cover Letter

...All cover letters should: Explain why you are sending a resume. Don't send a resume without a cover letter. Don't make the reader guess what you are asking for; be specific: Do you want a summer internship opportunity, or a permanent position at graduation; are you inquiring about future employment possibilities? Tell specifically how you learned about the position or the organization — a flyer posted in your department, a web site, a family friend who works at the organization. It is appropriate to mention the name of someone who suggested that you write. Convince the reader to look at your resume. The cover letter will be seen first. Therefore, it must be very well written and targeted to that employer. Call attention to elements of your background — education, leadership, experience — that are relevant to a position you are seeking. Be as specific as possible, using examples. Reflect your attitude, personality, motivation, enthusiasm, and communication skills. Provide or refer to any information specifically requested in a job advertisement that might not be covered in your resume, such as availability date, or reference to an attached writing sample. Indicate what you will do to follow-up. In a letter of application — applying for an advertised opening — applicants often say something like "I look forward to hearing from you." However, if you have further contact info (e.g. phone number) and if...

...Resources representative with TRON to build core human resource and business expertise skills. Assignments within this job posting include labor relations benefits, talent acquisition among others. The hiring decision process included some challenges and difficulties. At times, not every member was present at the same time in order to collaborate live about the strengths and weaknesses of each applying candidate. Hiring the right candidate was our choice and responsibility to insure that we are avoiding a future employee that could present threats or problems for TRON. This responsibility put a lot of pressure on my hiring committee. Also, it was difficult when candidates would not submit the assignments in a timely manner, such as the cover letter, resume, or online interview stream. This led to difficulty in collaborating and discussing the candidates’ job eligibility. When it came time to hire an individual, we went through a series of questions to assess each candidate. First we simply asked the hiring committee “is the applicant qualified to perform the job?”. We needed to think twice before hiring an applicant into a job that is outside his or her set of skills and knowledge. Next we asked, “is the applicant enthusiastic?”. It is important for an applicant to express enthusiasm for the job they are applying for because the more excited they are, the more effort they will put into the job. Showing enthusiasm can point toward the applicant’s work ethic and performance capabilities...

...Cover Letters and other career correspondence Your letter is your introduction —it continues or starts a conversation about work or education Just as you start a conversation by introducing yourself, a résumé should always be sent with an accompanying letter. Picture yourself sitting face-to-face with a person doing work that is interesting. What would you say? What do you want to ensure they know about you before you leave the room? Your letter is a chance to make a great first impression or continue a conversation that has already been started. Your letter is something employers expect —it shows your professionalism and helps them get to know you Every time you submit a résumé, you should attach an accompanying letter. Even if they don’t specifically request it, employers expect documentation from you that shows your professionalism and potential contributions. What better way to start than by using a cover letter? Your letter should clearly show the match —it illustrates the connections between you and the work Some employers scan your résumé first, while others start with the cover letter. To increase your chances of being invited to an interview, ensure that both documents clearly show the match between what the employer needs and what you can contribute. Once you have made the match, remember that the letter is your chance to stand out as an individual from the many other qualified applicants. Cover letters as referred to in the U.S have multiple names internationally like letters of interest and motivation letters. Regardless of the name the process is still the same however typically self-photos of the applying individual are attached to a cover letter, resume or both whereas in the U.S, photos are not appropriate attachments when looking for employment. It is also important to remember that paper sizes differ in other countries so altering your document size will be necessary if you want all your information to come through, otherwise your resume, fax, email etc. may have some missing information when viewed or printed out. It is ideal to send both a resume in English and the language of the country in which you are applying to...

While you may at some point have participated in an educational conference as an attendee, you have the opportunity in this assignment to think as a presenter! This assignment will also provide you the opportunity to create a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and cover letter. In this assignment, you will take your discussion presentation you prepared for the staff meeting and convert it into a poster that you could use at an academic conference. As well, often when submitting a poster proposal you include a CV and cover letter that highlight your experience and research interests. Historically, a conference poster session involves use of a large poster-board style document as a reference when speaking with conference attendees about your research or practical experiences with a topic. Increasingly, the poster session involves handouts in digital format transferred through QR codes or another medium and may involve a television or other screen display to communicate your research at an academic conference. Always, your poster presentation contains a title, introduction to your question...
