There are about 160,000 fast food restaurants in the United States. 50,000,000 americans are served at these restaurants everyday. Wendy’s was founded in 1969 in Columbus Ohio by Dave Thomas. It then moved to Dublin Ohio on January 29, 2006. It got the name Wendy’s from Dave Thomas, he named the restaurant after his eight year old daughter,whose nickname was Wendy. My claim is that Wendy’s is one of the healthier fast food restaurants for these reasons, you don’t eat as many calories as you would at other fast food restaurants, you don’t eat that much total fat after eating there, and you have left over calories and fat that you can eat at other meals.
Yet other people claim that you shouldn’t eat at fast food restaurants because most of their food may sound healthy but isn’t and eating there can use up all or most of your calories and total fat intake. Even though they may have foods that have high fat and calorie content some fast food places don’t, they have healthy alternatives like wraps and salads. For example, at Wendy’s they offer garden side salads which have 210 calories and 13 grams of fat. They also have grilled chicken wraps that have 270 calories and 10 grams of fat. …show more content…
Ordering a small strawberry lemonade, garden side salad, a chicken sandwich, and a Jr. Frosty at Wendy’s would total to about 990 calories. Going to Wendy’s and ordering what I would actually get was under 2,000 calories which is the limit of calories a 14-18 year old girl who is Moderately active should have. The scatter plot of items on Wendy’s menu had a positive correlation, the more calories in the food item the higher the total grams of fat in the food item was.
