What is an HBCU? HBCU, stands for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Are there any movies that revolve HBCU? Some movies include; “School Daze,” a musical comedy drama film directed by Spike Lee and another movie is “Stomp the Yard,” a dance drama film directed by Sylvain White. Both movies have an ample amount of conflict in the plot, whether it is being internal or external. During the movie “School Daze,” there is conflict in fraternities and sororities on who can join and who is forbidden to join at Mission College in rural Georgia. The women on campus are separated into two groups, the Wannabes, which are the lighter, curlier-haired sisters (posers) and the Jigaboos, who are the darker, more natural-haired women are campus.
