Analyzing a Job assignment Telemarketing advertising technique is known in every household across America ("Tips," n.d., para. 1). This is because although not always appreciated, telemarketers are effective at getting product names and information to the customer. The owner of a small business may gain several benefits by enlisting the talents of a reputable telemarketing agency to provide service for incoming and outgoing calls ("Tips," n.d., para. 1). Two kinds of services comprise telemarketing, inbound, and outbound. They have many differences, but achieve the same goal: to garner sales and provide service to customers. Telemarketing is the fastest growing industry today and companies are using this in an effort to effect sales. Inbound telemarketing refers to the manner in which a company accepts calls from consumers. These calls are answered with the customer sales order, or any other information, saved. Telemarketers find inbound telemarketing is simpler to do than outbound telemarketing because they already know the questions they will be asked about the products they are selling ("Telemarketing," n.d., p. 1). Telemarketers are responsible for prospecting using automated phone dialer and uncovering sales leads for clients, placing outbound calls to businesses, evaluating, and understanding the prospect's needs, and fulfilling clients orders for sales leads. ("Telemarketing," n.d., p. 2) Telemarketing organizations offers benefits to their employees and provides a competitive benefits package, State Farm provides health insurance (medical, prescription, dental, and vision) through a marketing agreement. A Health Savings Plan can be used with the individual medical insurance coverage. Life is provided by Guardian and pays two times the base salary if an employee passes away. The policy is optional for employees. Disability insurance provides income to assist in maintaining an employee’s way of life. An employee must work at least 30 hours per week and be 18-61 years of age. Employees that are recuperating, pregnant, pending surgery, or disabled are not eligible for coverage. The company provides seven paid holidays per year and the holidays are Federal holidays. Commuter benefits are provided for employees to reduce their commuting expenses. This benefit is paid monthly to each employee. The company provides educational assistance for each employee. To keep the employee thinking about the benefit the finance department inserts the cost on each paycheck. (WANG, 2003, p. 1) An effective incentive program contributes to the competitiveness of the company by encouraging superior performance as well as improving the company’s earnings and cash flow. An incentive benefits program is not a substitute for lack of staff accountabilities somewhat it motivates individuals and aligns the goals of individuals with those of the company. The needs of the employees were beneficial in determining the benefits for the employees. Employees select the benefits package that fits their needs and provide the best coverage. The long study of human motivation has continually shown that people will do that which they receive rewards for doing. Based on this concept, benefits are the most meaningful professional reward for employees. Companies use compensation and benefits as a means of attracting and maintaining valuable employees (BRINAMERG, 2012, p. 1). For the desired results to be the most effective worldwide organizations must pair financial incentives accordingly.

...this assignment, American Intellectual Union (AIU) has gathered a group of researchers from around the United States and internationally to study the topic of job satisfaction. This study will include examining data, analyzing results, and discussing the results gathered with other researchers that participated in this study. Job satisfaction is crucial to companies whether large or small, and with a thorough knowledge of this topic, it allows managers to gain awareness into the human behaviors that can build up the company’s bottom line. This paper will be examining gender and intrinsic job satisfaction while discussing the results of this evaluation in full detail. Method The data that has been selected for qualitative data is gender. The reason why gender was selected for qualitative data is because this may have an impact on job satisfaction in businesses. In many cases, the average calculation for the mean, median, and mode are unsatisfactory methods to determine qualitative data. However, the gender within this study is labeled with 1 and 2, and this would be considered appropriate. The mean that was calculated in this assignment was 1.275 rounded to 1.28 which demonstrated that the sample consisted of more men than women. The median was found by taking all of the numbers and putting them into numerical order and finding the number located in the middle of the data. This number was 1. The mode would be the most occurring number within the sequence. With analyzing gender...

Procrastination Gen200

...14. 2010 Anthony Boccia Research Strategy Paper A problem that I have identified in which I have in my academic life is procrastination. Procrastination has been an issue for me since my years in high school and it is time I develop a strategy to deal with this “catastrophic” issue. In this paper I will develop a research strategy to find a solution for my academic procrastination and will incorporate these solutions into my academics. Have you ever received an assignment or project and you are given a few days to complete it. You tell yourself “ok, I am going to start working on the assignment tomorrow”. Now tomorrow has come and you know you have to start working on your assignment but then you’re going “well I still have two more days to do it” so you tell yourself “ok I will start tomorrow because I still have another day before it’s due”. Next thing you know it’s the night before your assignment is due and now you are stressing out, pressing for time, and up past midnight trying finishing your assignment. This what I have been doing for the last three years in school, waiting till the last minute to start a paper or study for exam. By me procrastinating when it comes to school work I feel pressured, stressed, and also feel as if I am not creating work that is to the best of my ability, this has caused me to receive grades that I was unsatisfied with and really has just made me an average student. I’m not alone when it comes to procrastination; about 50% of students procrastinate...

...magazine or an article online, and they never wrote. My parents would always push me to read more and always do well on my writing assignments and review them over and over again so they would be the best of my ability. Back then I never really understood why they would make me do all of this, but now that I am a bit older and understand how important these traits are, I understand why they did this. I’ll never forget my English teacher my junior year of high school, Mr. Stanizzi. He was the most inspirational teacher I have ever had in my life. He genuinely loved his job and made English class fun, and fascinating. By this time I thought for sure that no teacher was ever going to change my opinion on writing, but he proved me wrong. There was something he did while teaching and analyzing poems that really struck my interest. Every week we would have a period just focusing on either writing our own poems or analyzing them. There was one particular poem that I was extremely proud of and showed Stanizzi the poem. He was shocked that I wrote such a good poem. He liked my poem so much he read it to the class for an example and he still reads it to his classes to this day. At this moment I realized that I actually enjoyed writing poems and that people actually enjoyed reading them. Since then I have genuinely enjoyed reading, analyzing and writing poems. Before this I looked at doing all of this as almost a chore, or a punishment of some sort but now that this has...

General Essay

...Assignment 1.1 Experiences as a Writer Emily Ramage ENG090 Writing Fundamentals Writing for me would be labeled as difficult. Considering that I haven’t had to write an actual paper since grade school, writing is not a part of my everyday life. Being a professional cosmetologist I’m not given the opportunity to write while on the job. The most I write at work would be the clients name and there service requested. I don’t have to write notes there; all my focus is on hair. With the way technology is today, most of my “personal” writing is done through text. I wasn’t the type of person that kept a journal. I found myself being able to vent more when it’s just freelance. With the iPhone the note pad is my best friend. Not checking for spelling or grammatical error would be the type of writing that I’m used to. Making sure every T is crossed and every I is dotted is something that never crosses my mind while freelancing. Being a college student, I try to write as much as possible. I now keep a notepad in my purse and jot down anything that comes to mind. I still find that the most writing that I do outside of my assignments is a grocery list. Nothing has really changed as far as me being a writer. I write because I have to not because I want to. Not writing for a long time truly shows my roughness. Starting this paper would be classified as my bad experience as a writer. I wasn’t clear on where to start because I don’t write often. I tried to jot down my thoughts...

Lesson Plan Analysis

...Analysis of a Lesson Plan This paper analyzes a lesson plan for an eight grade class covering the Emancipation Proclamation. This was a turning point for the United States and the world as freedom was given to a race enslaved for centuries. An important piece of American history with an elaborate story in itself, the Emancipation Proclamation gives the teacher an opportunity to expand the students' understanding of the world in which they live. The Learners This lesson is for an 8th grade class. These learners have some experience in school and are typically between ages 12 and 14 years old. Eighth graders have some experience in school and many have either decided to be part of it or not. This makes instructing them more of a challenge as the teacher must keep them engaged in the lesson. Although this is a challenge for a teacher of any age, the middle teen years present teachers with students undergoing pubescent changes that can have the child's mind otherwise occupied. The Learning Environment The learners will be in a classroom with desks, although multiple students may be seated at tables, work will be performed individually. The class will be shown a video to be displayed on a screen at the front of the classroom. Activities and Elements Day One Students will begin the class by answering the questions: “If you were president during the Civil War, how would you have responded to the existence of slavery in the United States of America? Why? How do you think...
