Judaism differs plenty from other religious groups and people. Comparatively closes to Christianity I believe, yet they do not believe the son of god has come to this world yet, and that Jesus was not almighty. They study the Old Testament and not the New Testament. There values of all the other religions are quite the same, treat others with respect how you would like to be treated and be gracious to mother earth for providing us with so much. Also Islam’s do not eat pork; they use circumcision, and also fast during the holy month. Judaism is based on the impact of a whole nation as to Islam is the impact of one individual had over other people. Mohammed, the founder of Islam, based many of his beliefs on the practices of local Jewish population in his native Mecca, except they did not live up to his expectations so they have died from his sword and will continue to.
Well the obvious huge experience Jews had to deal with was the Holocaust. Hitler took Germany out of depression and in doing so wanted to make a greater, pure blood world where there were no Jews aloud. Luckily his efforts were thwarted after a great 6 year battle. Hitler had most control over all of Europe and was a Genius in combat strategies /tactics and politics. Although he was Evil, many Germans and other people thought of him as an idol from taking a country in poverty and depression and turning into a hugely feared world power. This war was fought on almost every continent of the world and was devastating to all nations, naming it “World War 2” More than estimate of 6 million have lost their lives due to this disaster. There were many other experiences the Jews had to deal with, yet this is by far the most devastating and had the largest impact on their religion.
Jews have been dealing with America way back since the 17th century. Like many immigrants they were segregated at first and denied the right to vote. The Jews as a people have always been and fought against prejudice and discrimination against others. They played a roll like many others and believed highly in the civil rights movement. They were some of the most active participants and believers of the black civil right movements. After 1960 the American Jews had a hard time trying to comprehend the holocaust and its terrific effect on all of them. Jewish civilians in the states estimate around 7 million. American Jews have been known to be highly educated and in times of the high class nature.

I have always known a bit of knowledge about this religion due to the fact one of my best friends back home was Jewish and so was his father. When his father passed away I learned a great deal of the Judaism faith and grew very fond and respectful of it. It’s helped me learn how close it is to my very own religion and even though we practice the sacraments different, we believe in most of the same concepts and beliefs. Reading articles and papers online have refreshed my memory on key historical dates and places.
The racial and ethnic group that I have chosen would be Asian. The Asian culture and groups have been around much longer than that of an American society. They are usually smaller in stature with black straight hair and brown eyes. They are perceived as a more “Yellow” skin tone compared to other races. Since of this they have been different physically compared to different races and have fell victim to many discriminating terms and acts.
There are many experiences with other groups since this racial group has been along for so long of a time period. They have made trade and sales with people across the world and a group of them “China” has the biggest man army in the world due to the huge abundance of people. They have led and fought side by side in constant wars, and are still home to two huge communist nations.
In today’s economic culture they greatly influence our economy in so many ways. One way they alter our society is the high importation of goods and parts from there nation towards ours. There is no comparison to how much they import from us as to compare to what we import from them. We survive from there imports on a daily bases. They have also contributed to our culture in the way of Culinary. They taught us many new cooking and recipes throughout the ages. They have given us different hobbies and activities from there people so we can incorporate them into our life styles.
Some huge experiences the Asian people have encountered were when war has been brought upon us. They have been hugely discriminated towards in World War Two when they were fighting each other and also brought the war onto American soil. They have had constant prejudice thoughts put forth against them since the war and also because of their strange custom. In World War Two executive order
9066 paved the way for the removal of all persons of Japanese descent from western coastal areas to internment camps in the interior of the country. This destroyed many of the Japanese cities and towns set up in American and destroyed their social upbringing in America.
Asian culture has made and will continue to make an impact on this world today. The rise in high democratic figures today states there will be great changes in the Asian culture to come. “The impact of Asian contributions to the built environment in America has yet to be appreciated in its fullness, for much has been lost and even more has yet to be studied in depth.”(Asia in America pg20) I have learned a great deal and understood Asian culture better by living in Japan myself for quite some time and to visit most of Asia. It’s greatly helped me learn how to respect and enjoy their culture. It allows me to be respectful in certain situations that many people would be offended if I’ve done it any other way, and also it helps me share knowledge between my ethnic group and theirs.

Part IV

The prejudice and discriminating experiences have mostly been acts of violence, and that is how they our similar. Many people from each group have died by the hand of others simply because they didn’t believe in the others faith or skin. Each group was effected foe no other reason but hatred and non-educated individuals. The differences would have to be in the large number of individuals in the group. In fact some individuals are part of both groups, yet there slim in numbers. I believe Jews have been affected more on the prejudice side just because the sheer number of years more Asians have been around longer give them more discriminating acts and segregation. The conclusions I caught by comparing both groups would be the discrimination on physical looks and also there religion. Both groups have been fighting with each other’s religion and other people since they have been around. Both have seen terrific battles and won and lost land. Although I can’t say they always directly interact, they both play a major purpose in today’s world.
