The reason my bedroom is so important to me is because my room holds all of my personal belongings, which are very important to me. Also my room is a comfortable place to study or just to relax.
I can also have privacy whenever I want it by resorting to my room, this may be hard for some people if they share a room. Whenever my mom is nagging at me or when I'm stressed out with school or work, I like to go into my room and just be myself. All my belongings in my room surround me and make me realize everything is going to be all right. It gives me a sense of security.
The way my room is set up makes it kind of cluttered, but that is the way I like it and I don't care what anyone says. As you first come into my room, to the right is my dresser. My dresser is full of things like perfume, jewelry, hair ties, my alarm clock and just a bunch of junk, mostly things that come out of my pockets at the end of the day. The dresser itself is brown with six drawers, sets of three side by side. Diagonally across from that is my curio cabinet which holds all of my porcelain dolls, the cabinet is a light brown with glass shelves. Next to my bed which is in the middle of the room is my entertainment center which holds my stereo and pictures and just odds and ends. Everything is worth keeping.
I believe that other people feel the same way about their rooms and homes, it gives people a sense of security in a way that you can control what goes in your room and who goes in your room. It sort of gives people power which may mean a lot to some people. My room holds almost all of my personal belongings, which I think almost everybody's rooms do. I am sort of protective of the things in my room because a lot of my belongings have sentimental value. My most treasured items are my collection of porcelain dolls which are placed neatly in my curio cabinet. I have about fifteen dolls and if anything would ever happen to those dolls I would be extremely upset and very furious. Nobody, except myself, is allowed to touch them, not even my mother.
I'm sort of a pack rat so I keep everything from old clothes to my childhood stuffed animals which are all neatly sitting on my hope chest in my room. My hope chest is filled with things I will need in the future like towels, cooking utensils, blankets, old picture frames and other little things, these things mean a lot to me because a lot of these objects belonged to my late grandmother and I am honored to own them. I treasure all my belongings and do not like other people to move or to borrow without asking and I think that a lot of people feel the same way. When someone touches our things we get upset and I think in a way we are sort of honoring our possessions.
What my point is that everybody has something or some place that is important to them and has meaning and a lot of times it is people's bedrooms and homes because it belongs to us and we cherish these places. Bedrooms are a place of comfort and in some cases a sense of security. It is a place of privacy when we need to be alone or just to sit down and take a load off. We can just be ourselves. So the next time someone gets touchy when you are handling their things just remember how much your things mean to you and their stuff is important to them, don't forget that your bedroom is always there for you to relax, unwind and maybe just to look at.

Apple vs. Android

...John Kelley Admin400 – R10 Apple vs. Android When it comes to analyzing the Apple iPhone, it is important to understand their main strategies that they use to try and give themselves a competitive advantage. Judging by the products that Apple has put out in their iPhone line, it certainly appears that they have achieved a competitive advantage over other companies, most notably ones in the Android market. The Apple iPhone has always been known for its sleek and highly aesthetic design, along with most other Apple products. This has become a staple of their company, and a strategy that has proved to be successful. The iPhone is physically appealing to most customers, and in the Wired Android article they mention that the visual aspect of the phone is a huge factor in what type of phones consumers will buy. It mentions that people don’t want to buy ugly phones that are hard to use. This is something that the iPhone has taken advantage of to give themselves an edge, by creating a phone that is pleasing to the eye and relatively simple to use. As far as the Android phones, they take a different approach to try and appeal to their customers. They want to express that their technology is “smarter” and has more capabilities than that of Apple’s iPhone. This is a concept that may appeal to some people, but also may steer people away from their product if they are looking for a phone that is easier to use. Although Android phones are still quality products, it......

...David Hawkins Compare & Contrast: iPhone Vs. Android IPhone and Android are the latest and most powerful Operating Systems on the market. They are used in our everyday lives, and to be honest who can live without them. Every day over a 10,000 new electronics are purchased. IPhone and Android being the top 2, Apple and Samsung have went head to head in competing for the best product. Apple seems to keep their consumer coming back for more time after time. Making apple the top most purchased product in the U.S. Meanwhile Android is not far behind. They are both great OS’ and both have earned the respect of the world. So now let’s look at the specks of the two devices. While the iPhone has been stuck at the3.5” screen for the past for generations; Apple finally decided on its latest product add-on to make the screen bigger. The stunning iPhone 5 came to be the biggest screen that apple has decided to upgrade the features of the screen. This was the biggest change to the iPhone as most consumers would say. It featured a retina display for nice chromatic picture and video display. With liquid crystal display that apple claims that a natural human eye wouldn’t be able to notice pixilation. Ios vs Android

...Adcock English 111 10 November 2015 iOS vs Android This is to inform the advantages of having an iOS device versus an Android Device. I am going to talk about Apple’s clean software interface versus Android’s, I am also going to explain the processes involved in security updates, and software updates all together. All these combined will construct a pattern of how 90% of all Apple users stay up to date with the most current software while Android has a consistent 35% that are up to date. Apple devices are known to have a cleaner software to hardware integration because Apple specifically designs and fabricates software and hardware for each other while Android designs software only. iOS has always been known for its outstanding smooth interface and most of this is specifically due to Apple writing its own software for its own manufactured hardware whereas Android, while its own software is well known and popular has always been known for its glitches and jumpy interface. This is because Android doesn’t manufacture its own devices, they have companies such as Motorola, Samsung, and Nokia which is great, Microsoft has been doing this for years but the problem is all the devices have their own specification to run on such as different hardware specifications, screen sizes, and based on the carrier i.e. Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint they have their own software to add and has to be modified to fit their devices. Apple has it written in their contracts will all......

Ios vs Android

...iOS vs android Before we go on with the comparison of android and iOS, we must know what these two words, that have so much importance in today's world, really are. Android and iOS are two different mobile operating system, the former is from Google Inc. and the latter is developed by Apple Inc. iOS was first released in 2007 and Android in 2008. Both thee operating systems have many differences the basic one being that these are programmed in different languages. Android is programmed in C, C++ and Java, whereas, iOS is programmed in C, C++, Objective-C. Available languages in an Android are 32, and in iOS the number is a little higher i.e. 34. Both of theses two have their own browsers, internet messaging, video chat, maps, voice commands facility, however , where Android seems to be running on different smart phones and is indeed the most popular mobile operating system today, iOS runs only on Apple products. FaceTime, Safari browser, and other apps work only on the Apple products that has been a reason why Android is more popular than iOS. Moreover, using bluetooth you can only share files with Apple products if you're an iPhone user. Over a period of around 5 years, android and iOS operating systems have become more advanced, competing each other and continuously improving themselves with releases of newer versions of both mobile operating systems in areas they were lacking. Therefore, its hard to distinguish which mobile software offers more or which one is...

Embeded Software

...Open Source vs. Closed Source Open source and Closed source, two topics that have become quite the buzz in the world Information Technology (IT). Chances are, if you work in IT, you will eventually be faced with having to decide on witch of these technologies you will have to go with when planning for an upgrade or new IT system implementation. Before choosing which technology to go with we as IT professionals must first understand the difference between the two as well as carefully weight the benefits and disadvantages of each solution. An Open Source Operating system refers to software whose source code, the medium in which programmers create and modify software, is freely available on the Internet; whereas, by contrast the closed source code for proprietary commercial software is usually a closely guarded secret and is not available to the public. (Crooke, 2012) Notable open source operating systems include Android and Linux. Notable Closed source OS include Apple iOS. The two major benefit of using an Open source software is that the software is distributed under a variety of licensing terms, but almost all have two things in common: the software can be used without paying a license fee, and anyone can modify the software to add capabilities not envisaged by its originators. (Crooke, 2012) These benefit help to lower cost of products as well as offer customers the ability to customize platforms as needed to meeting business needs. The disadvantage that is......
