What if all we saw was 2D shapes? What f there were no depth in anything we looked at in our everyday lives? That I how things are presented in the book Flatland written by E. Abbott. The book is about shapes in different hierarchy that only see flat things hence the "flat land" part. Besides the fact of everything looking flat to them, there is a hierarchy problem within the shapes and some shapes are more important than other shapes.

In the book, the men and women are shapes. The men are polygons and the women are lines. The few the equal sides the person has the lower you are in society and you are more looked down upon. For example sense an isosceles triangle only had two equal sides there for an odd ball and is looked down in society for that. They can even kill their husband which would be bad because in the book the husband is like the master of them two. Even though its just a book I think its wrong to perceive women like that, we aren't animals and we cant be controlled by anyone. With all of the bad comes some good though, women in Flatland are very intelligent even more intelligent than their husbands.
