A study was done at the University of Wisconsin on patients with PTSD participants. The two main characters has PTSD which was war related but for different circumstances. He returns home not the same person as he was before he was deployed according to his wife which is currently seeking a divorce from him. His symptoms are similar but he also deals with shame and guilt for his behavior as a serviceman and also as a husband and father to his young children, upon his return home from the war.
