I’ve always been your run of the mill high school student. My report card would usually consist of a majority of A’s, a few B’s and on rare occasions, the dreaded C. On the other hand, both of my sisters were, for the most part, straight A students. My sister Victoria, managed to graduate rank #7 of her class, while Vanessa graduated rank #13 of hers. Of course, seeing all of their achievements got me thinking, “ I want to be just as good as them, if not better.” So in essence, I took the actions necessary in order to improve my rank and GPA in order to catch up to them. At the time, my rank was 39 and my GPA was 3.5, so of course, they needed some work. So Dual credit was the only viable option in order to assure a rise in both rank and GPA. The first step to becoming eligible to enroll in Dual Credit, was to pass all three TSI tests. These tests include the subject fields of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. You would be presented with twenty questions at first, however, if you were receive a failing with them, you would be presented with 40+ more questions in order to raise your chances of a satisfactory score. Surprisingly to me, I managed to pass all three subjects with flying colors within the first set of questions. So in turn, this gave me the greenlight to enroll in Dual Credit and attend orientation at the junior college the following week. I enrolled in Learning Frameworks that same semester and attended the class every Monday after school for two or more hours. I took every extra credit opportunity available and studied for every test exams and finals. I didn't do too great on my final only scoring a measly 60/100. However thanks to my extra credit, I raised it up to a 120/100 and passed the class with a 100.4%. Also, during the summer, I enrolled in Federal Government and Economics. Summer
