... MI 207 Assignment 1 For this particular assignment, I chose a very close cousin of mine to interview, Atty Pilar Nenuca Almira. She is presently the CEO of Cardinal Santos Medical Center. It may seem that we are in the same line of work, however each time we see each other for a chat, I see how different our works are. First she is a lawyer and I’m a doctor. I am mostly involved in managing younger doctors while she is involved in managing the operations of an institution. I have always been fascinated by her stories at work and how she manages change and people. She was not always working in a hospital. She was previously affiliated with Warner Lambert, St Peters Funeral Homes to name a few before eventually ending up managing hospital operations. So, I felt I had a lot to learn from her in terms of project management even with just a brief interview. These are her thoughts on how she manages projects and project management distribution. ‘I manage the projects with clarity of objectives, expectations and roles. There must be a project manager who should track and orchestrate and put together a team. It must be a project team that is represented by members whose capabilities can be of help. Yes, the roles are distributed among different people from various cross functional teams.’ I asked her to further explain her last statement and why project management roles have to be distributed. ‘Projects usually encompass several segments. Thus, functional areas are involved...

... irrelevant facts that can be ignored. This means you should discuss all the given facts in your answer. After going over the facts then look back at the units you have just studied to find the legal issues that relate to the facts you are given. These issues will involve rules or principles of law that will determine the legal outcome of the situation that is described. Your answer should discuss whether the facts fit within these rules or principles to bring about a certain legal result or decision. The result you predict may be favourable to one of the parties named in the situation and unfavourable to another. Keep in mind that a party may succeed on one issue and lose on another. Legal rules are often in the form of conditional “if - then” statements such as: “If this happens, or that situation occurs, then the legal result shall be . . .” In these assignments you will be giving your views about whether the facts stated in the question satisfy the “if” part of this equation. This process of analysis should also be followed when answering questions on the exam. Structuring Assignments The following instructions apply to all five written assignments for this course. The purpose of the database will be to track the students and the courses. They also want a place in the system to track the instructors teaching each course. There are many things that need to be considered in developing this database. This paper will outline the entities, attributes for each entity, the type of relationship, constraints, some business rules, and the conceptual and physical models. There will be three main entities in the system; the students, the instructors and the courses. First, the students’ attributes will include; last name, first name, social security number, phone number, date of birth, address, student ID, level of education, enrollment date, GPA, any standardized test scored, all accepted credits, and their class schedule. Next the courses attributes will include the course name and specific class code. Finally, the attributes for the instructors will include the last name, first name, teacher ID, salary, address, telephone numbers, certifications, degrees, and the course and class code they are teaching. This will make the system easier to keep track of instead of having it spelled out next to either the instructors' or the student's name. The relationship of this database would be a many-to-many relationship. This would be because each class...

To make sure that the experiment has the right outcome, a person must follow certain steps. The first step is asking a question or solving a problem in which a person can perform an experiment. The next step is making an observation and follow up with some background or research on the subject. The hypothesis comes after, which is where the actually procedure and all the needed materials come in to play for the experiment. When the experiment is done, all the data is analyzed to get the results of the experiment. When all the data is analyzed, the person has to come up with a conclusion, which will help decide whether to accept or reject the hypothesis. If they choose to accept the hypothesis, they tell other people about their findings.
