I feel that the EGR Theory could be applied in this situation. Existence because it seems that to Carolyn doesn’t feel that none of the employees in the meeting are getting job security only the people that keeps doing the reorganizations in the company are . Relatedness as it seems that each employee has their own thoughts, feelings about the teaming up issue and at the moment they all are against it.Maslow’s Theory could be applied to the situation the employees want to be satisfied whether the need of satisfaction is the freedom to make decisions that affect their work/Independence or the opportunity for interaction with others/Social Needs and efficient work methods/Physical (pg.220)The comment which was made by Joanne falls perfectly in McClelland’s acquired needs theory because she feels that there are some afflictive managers on board. (pg.223)The expectancy theory for the simple fact that supervisors want each of their employees to strive to be the best being high performers regardless to what they are saying in the meeting room.(pg. 233)

Reorganization under the Bureaucratic management means that Betty would perhaps become unimportant as a manager. (pg. 275) If most of her employees are creative this would not be a good management style to use. Autocratic management should only be used for a certain amount of time. If the reorganization is only for a short period of time it would perhaps work using it long term could cause Betty’s employees to become resentful towards her and put in only half of the high performance that they would usually put in towards their work. (pg. 276) However the better management style for Betty to use would be Democratic style because she is preparing them as a group and trying to relive their tension. ...American workforce, in spite of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. Many experts agree that the continuing unemployment of people with disabilities is due in large part to the fact that potential employers and co-workers still maintain negative attitudes toward them as a group. These negative attitudes appear to be rooted in a lack of knowledge about people with disabilities, as well as the perpetuation of erroneous stereotypes about them. Some scholars and advocates (e.g., Lee and Rodda, 1994; Unger, 2002) assert that training designed to challenge existing beliefs is the key to changing these negative attitudes. Our research sought to test that assertion by determining the effects of a brief educational intervention on individuals' knowledge about and attitudes toward people with disabilities in the workplace. Using a Solomon four-group quasi-experimental design, undergraduate students were placed into one of four conditions and completed a survey that included a knowledge assessment and the Attitude Toward Disabled Persons Scale (Yuker and Block, 1986). Results indicate that the educational intervention had a significant impact on both participants' knowledge levels and their attitudes, even after controlling for gender and prior experience with people with disabilities.
