In the mini conference “Key Note”, the speaker Attracta Kelly informs the viewers that there is very little knowledge on immigration. She believes that immigrants are normal people trying to find a better life here in the United States and deserve to be treated equally. Attracta Kelly tried to take the words “alien” and “immigrants” out of the dictionary because she felt they were disrespectful. She says that people don’t understand that immigrants move to the United States because they have a tough life where they live. For example, Americans blame immigrants for economic problems that the country face: economy, health care or lack of it, failing schools, and more. Every year more immigrants move to the US searching for “The American dream”.
