...Organizational Restructuring | Organizations are human systems and their system structure includes the worldview, beliefs, and mental models of their leaders and members.  Changing organizational behavior requires changing the belief system of its personnel.  This process of changing beliefs is called learning.  Effective learning requires clear, open communications throughout the organization.  Organizational performance ultimately rests on human behavior and improving performance requires changing behavior.  Therefore organizational restructuring should have as a fundamental goal the facilitation of clear, open communication that can enable organizational learning and clarify accountability for results.    Since the world is continually changing, continuous organizational learning is necessary to stay up to date.  Organizations that cannot or will not learn will become obsolete.  Leaders should periodically examine the organizational structure of their enterprise to assure that it continues to provide an environment for organizational learning.  A non threatening, development focused performance appraisal process can be an effective organizational learning tool.  The points of leverage in organizations are the beliefs and worldview of their leaders and decision makers.  The sense of purpose, vision and commitment of an organization's leadership play a critical role in the results it can accomplish.    | Symptoms indicating the need for organizational restructuring....

Carbine Rifle Research Paper

...During this essay we will discuss the Disassembly of an M4 Carbine Rifle. The only items needed to perform these directions provided is an M4, M4 magazine, gloves which are optional and the readers undivided attention. Before any disassembly to any weapon no matter what experience level the person may be, the individual must "clear the weapon" in order to ensure that the weapon is unloaded and that there is no round in the chamber. The first step is to ensure that the weapon is pointed in a safe direction weather it is aimed down range toward targets or toward the ground. You must never point their weapon at something they don’t intend to shoot. Always point your weapon in a safe direction you must always ensure the weapon is on safe at all times until you are ready to use it. To place the weapon on safe move the selector lever on the left side of the pistol grip to the indicated position of “safe”. After you are sure the weapon is on safe you must remove the magazine from the magazine well and lock the bolt to the rear. To accomplish this you must push the magazine release button located on the right side of the magazine well. The magazine should just fall out. Now that the magazine is no longer in the weapon you must now lock the bolt to the rear of the rifle. You will then need to depress the lever on the left side of the charging handle (the T-shaped piece located on the bottom rear of the carrying handle) and pull sharply to the rear. While holding the charging handle......

...What is a RAM? (RAM) Random Access Memory provides space for computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit)9 (http://kb.iu.edu/data/ahty.html). A sufficient RAM results in faster computer speed and less dependence on the hard disk for supplying data which is needed by the computer to run software applications like MS Office. When a computer has more RAM this reduces the number of times the CPU reads data from hard drive and allows the computer to work faster. Affects on Distant Students: A RAM is several times faster than a hard disk. If a system does not have sufficient supporting RAM the system gets hanged. A computer that has more ram is able to process applications and software faster and results in more speed. If a sufficient RAM is not provided computer will slow down dramatically and will not install software properly or crash while running software and applications. When a PC runs of out RAM then the PC tries to find more Ram and it starts converting hard drive space to RAM and this slows the computer down become unstable and eventually crashes. Distant learning relies mainly on computer and its performance. Speed of computer is of utmost importance in distance learning. If a student is working on a project, assignment or quiz and the computer crashed due to insufficient RAM that will result in loss of marks and academic performance. RAM Specification Recommendation: Windows XP has a bare minimum RAM requirement of 64MB......

Water Strider

...they are dead or alive. They have sucking mouth used to eat either terrestrial insects that have accidentally fallen on the water’s surface or other aquatic insects like mosquito larvae as it comes to the surface (National Wildlife Federation, 1996-2013). There are several factors that can change the stability and growth of this insect’s reproduction and population growth. Abiotic factors like water, temperature, and light can change the population but biotic factors like plants or other organisms can alter it also. If change within an environment happens then change to the organisms within the environment will happen as well (Elzinga, 2004). Abiotic Factors Abiotic factors are non- living components like water, temperature, and light. A rapid increase or decrease in any of these factors would have an effect on this species. Water is important to the water strider population because it is here that it lives and obtains its...

Nature Observation ~ Pond and Surrounding Woods, West Pointe, Ca

...Lisa C. Litz Ramona Brockman Environmental Science February 18, 2014 Benchmark Part 1 Nature Observation ~ Pond and Surrounding Woods, West Pointe, CA Our favorite place for taking nature walks is in the woods surrounding my parent’s cabin in West Pointe, Ca. My daughter and I have been taking walks in the woods up there for over six years. We have seen a variety of different animals up there on our various outings depending on the time of year we’re up there and the time of day we take our walks. All of the plants and animals we’ve seen up there make up the biotic factors for this environment. There are a number of different species of trees and flowering plants around my parent’s cabin and the outlying trails we go exploring on. Even though there are a number of cabins up here, they haven’t really disturbed the environment to the point that it’s affected the number of different creatures that still wander through the woods. Besides all of the wonderful biotic factors we so enjoy up here there are also a few abiotic factors that interact with the wildlife. There is a slow running stream that runs between a few of the cabins, and then a couple of miles down the road there’s a large standing pond just off to the side of the road. The main abiotic factor is the sun, which is where all the living organisms derive their energy from. Energy is another abiotic factor. The plants derive energy directly from the sun, whereas the animals get their energy indirectly from the sun......
