Bahrain Bay has created four foundations philosophies: Focusing onScale and Aesthetics, Social Equity, Community Fabric and Tomorrow’s Environment. This philosophy helps to ensure thatBahrain Bay becomes a holistic, sustainable place for generations tocome. Continuous development becomes a realization and thesefoundations become a guide for Bahrain Bay to achieve the highstandards and attention to detail that they have set for it.Bahrain Bay recognizes the importance of sharing and protectingthe environment. They are committed in helping develop acommercially sound and ecologically viable approach todevelopment. With respect towards nature, they seek to createintimacy among their site, the environment and its residents andvisitors.By re-establishing the natural landscape, implementing ecologicallysound buildings and design, requiring conscientious constructionmethods and establishing pride in the community, they aim torespect and nurture the development and the world around them.In ratifying this foundation principle, Bahrain Bay understands thatbest practice requires them to consider future generations and learnfrom our past.

2. What would you see as being Bahrain Bay’s mission?
The mission of Bahrain Bay’s is to ensure a self-governing and self sustaining community and at the same time support an exceptionalquality of life for residents, business and visitors. We could see thatthey want to connect both the residential life and at the same timeto be connected and be productive in business by providing theright communication infrastructure which can be integrated as partof development process.

3. What is the MIPIM, and why was it important for Bahrain Bay to target its potential customers, investors, developers and retailers?
MIPIM is a trade show that its organizers describe as a "market for international property trade". It takes place annually in Cannes, France. It was really important for the venture to make some sort of appearance there to get the attention of nearly 26,000 property and investment professionals from around the world, which included investors that were looking to contribute in such project.

4. Why might the Kingdom of Bahrain be an attractive location for overseas investors?
Simply because of its stable rather booming economic status as a major financial and commercial center, as well as many rising projects like Bahrain Investment Wharf, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bahrain City Center, Raffles City, and Bahrain Bay Development.

5. What are Bahrain’s closest competitors for inward foreign investment?
Probably Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and of course U.A.E’s Dubai.

6. What part of the marketing mix is related to the football sponsorship, and what functions does it perform?

...COMPANY Case Bahrain Bay: Building Customer Relations for the Future Bahrain Bay Development is a joint venture between Arcapita Bank and a Bahrain-based investment group. It is a $2.5 billion development off the northeast coast of Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain that included creating a entire island. The project will be a mix of commercial, residential, and retail units. All of the construction will be set around the Manama waterfront. The centerpiece of the project will be Bahrain’s first Four Seasons hotel. Bahrain Bay got underway in 2006 with a land reclamation extending to 430,000m2. The global headquarters of Arcapita and the new hotel were due to be completed in 2008. Phase Three of the operation will involve the construction of residential, commercial, and retail units. The whole project, due for completion in 2010 will cover an area of some 1.1 million m2. The architectural and engineering firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the ultra modern site. In 2005, when the project had been given final approval, Atif A. Abdulmalik, the CEO of Arcapita, sai, “Just five months from the initial announcement of this project, the preparatory stages for design and planning considerations have progressed very well and Bahrain Bay BSC is able to launch Bahrain Bay ahead of schedule. ...Ramon Magsaysay (1907-1957) EARLY LIFE Ramón del Fierro Magsaysay was born in Iba, Zambales on August 31, 1907 to Exequiel Magsaysay (1874-1968), a blacksmith, and Perfecta del Fierro (1887-1980), a schoolteacher.[ He spent his high school life at Zambales Academy at San Narciso, Zambales.
