Barack Obama as President
The name Barack Obama to some people brings joy as they think about the much needed change he promises to bring to our country, but to others it brings anger and disappointment because they feel he won’t be able to bring the change the country needs. To me and many others President Obama is a great leader and is growing into a greater one. He focuses on the issues our country has as a whole such as the economy, education and health care. I believe that Obama has a great plan for all of the issues at hand, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
When it comes to the economy President Obama inherited a terrible mess when he came into political office; a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit, two wars, rising unemployment and unprecedented crises in our banking system. The Obama Administration has worked overtime to address our immediate problems of rising unemployment, falling home prices and limping credit markets, while taking a longer view in laying a strong foundation for future economic growth that benefits all Americans. To get the economy back on track President Obama signed legislation to jumpstart our economy, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, less than a month after his inauguration. The plan will save or create 3.5 million new jobs, make critical investments in our infrastructure and give 95 percent of working Americans a tax cut. There are many people who are appreciative of what President Obama and his Administration are doing to help our economy get back on the right path and then there are those who disagree.

Education has been a problem in the United States for a long time high dropout rates and not farthing education after high school is a big issue now-a-days but now it’s time for change. At this defining moment in our history, President Obama believes preparing our children to compete in the global economy...

...Although there are many individuals I would consider as the embodiment of good leadership, I would attempt to focus my attention on President Barack Obama (PBO) as the embodiment of good leadership. Mills D. Q (2005), explains leadership as a process by which one person influences the behavior, thoughts and attitudes of others (p.11). This means that leadership sets direction for the rest to follow and also energizes people towards a goal. I would limit this paper to his past leadership roles, the criteria used in determining his leadership capabilities and provide illustrations of how he demonstrated these leadership capabilities in his roles. Past Leadership Roles of PBO Prominent among the many leadership roles held by PBO include but not limited to him being the 44th and current President of the United States, and the first African American to hold the office. During his first two years in office, he signed into law economic stimulus legislation in response to the Great Recession in the form of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. Her elegance, class, and hair have made her a well-known public figure to society. Not only is she changing television, but now she plans on heading to the white house. She believes President Barack Obama’s stylist is harming the president’s physical appearance. The President of the United States of America is our country’s representative. The way he appears to the rest of the world is how the United States will be perceived. When a president is on top of the trends, it shows he is well informed and austere about what pleases the citizens of his country. If he does not dress fashionably, his former supporters who voted for him in the previous election may not vote for him again. Also, other political leaders will not be able to take him seriously if he is not up-to-date on what is modern and current. According to the magazine Hot Politics, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the president of Kazakhstan, cannot take President Barack Obama seriously. He said, “A president who does not know fashion is not well aware of his surroundings. It shows he does not take his work seriously. ...Article 1 At the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte N.C., former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday put Barack Obama’s name in nomination for reelection as president with an impassioned plea that Americans renew Obama’s contract for four more years. For those voters who have yet to decide whether to let Obama keep the keys to the White House or send him packing, here’s a primer in political prognostication: past is prologue; and personality drives behavior. Past is prologue The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. No speech, no campaign promise will fundamentally alter the general tenor of the Obama presidency in a second term. If you dislike Obama’s first-term agenda or leadership style as president, there’s little reason to cast a vote for Obama in hope of change. For the nonpartisan or independent voter, the great challenge is to anticipate how the candidate will govern. That task is simplified with an incumbent because the candidate’s track record telegraphs his likely path. However, the future is always uncertain. Little did we know when we sized up George W. Bush’s fitness for office in 2000 that history would throw us a curveball a year later in the form of Sept. 11. This is where political psychology earns its keep. Personality drives behavior Personality refers to the stable patterns of a person’s motives, thoughts and actions over time and across a broad range of situations. Accurate personality assessment allows us to anticipate a...

They moved to Kenwood, on Chicago's South Side, and welcomed two daughters: Malia born 1998 and Sasha born 2001. In February 2007, Obama made headlines when he announced his candidacy for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. I Am Ready for Change. Are You Ready for Change? Barack Obama was recently elected as the new President of the United States, with a fairly convincing victory over the republican John McCain. The American people where obviously ready for change, but would there have been any major difference if the outcome of the election was turned in McCain’s favor? There would naturally have been some differences between an Obama presidency and a McCain presidency, but both naturally want what’s best for their country. So if the differences between an Obama presidency and a McCain presidency would result in an outcome that the U.S. population in general would be better off or benefit from, are not very likely. Obama spoke about change, he got elected, so now it will be interesting to see if he practice what he preach. People have always been promised a lot from politicians, and people often end up being disappointed because a politician doesn’t deliver what is promised. Maybe the most important change Barack Obama can make is changing this impression, and he should do that by making the financial crisis, the increasing unemployment, and the extraction of U.S. soldiers from Iraq, the first three priorities he will deal with as the President of the United States. Barack Obama isn’t going to be a Messiah for the American people, he will hopefully do a decent job, but there are limits for how much that can be done, and the American people are going to become aware of this when the placebo effect of having elected the popular Obama......
