There seems to be a clear line drawn between those who believe the vaccine causes autism and thise who refute the claim. On one side, there are the parents who claim their child was “normal” until receiving this vaccine, and on the other side, there are the researchers, doctors, and drug companies who have completed in –depth studies of the MMR vaccine, and say that it is safe. According to an article in the Lancet, a British Medical Journal, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, completed a study that proved there was a connection between the MMR vaccine and early autism in children who were seemingly normal before they received the vaccine. He claimed that the vaccine inflamed the gut and that allowed the “toxic substance” to enter the bloodstream. The National Autism Association has even focused on the vaccine preservative, thimerosal, as a possible culprit. However, since 1992, thimerosal has been removed from all vaccines in the United States, and autism diagnoses continue to climb. For years people have argued what amount of money is enough to truly survive on without being below the poverty line. Chances are we have all worked for minimum wage at one point or another in our life and as we grew older and had more experience we most likely went on to jobs that paid us more and used our skills more efficiently. Minimum wage is different in many states based on the states living costs such as food, rent and more. The biggest debate right now is should we raise the minimum wage to $15. Many minimum wage workers do not believe they have enough money to get by, support a family or have any fun. Although inflation is something we must deal with I do not believe we should raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. That is just not something that should be done anytime soon! Even our military makes less than that and they are putting their lives on the line every day for our freedom and these countries citizens. Thirty-four year-old, Linda Kazinsky, repeatedly raped the now 19 year-old Jeremy Steen on a weekly basis for 3 years. After Steen alerted police, Linda Kazinsky was arrested and charged with statutory rape and false imprisonment. After Kazinsky was released for serving her time in the Nebraska’s state prison system she was able to regain custody of her child that had been a ward of the state for the first thirteen months of it’s life until Kazinky’s sister was able to gain custody. Soon after Kazinky filed for government assistance which later granted Jeremy Steen with a subpoena to appear in court for child support. During the child support hearing Jeremy was ordered to pay $475 a month as well as to having to pay $23,000 in back child support.
