Abstract
Nowadays, the business segment in society is growing quickly, and along with this growth comes the need for more leaders to manage and lead the developing companies. Effective leadership is the foundation for any business. Developing behaviors, forming strategic planning, overcoming difficulties, and motivating and inspiring employees are main components of effective leadership. This paper demonstrates the aspect of effective leadership and how to become a great leader for a successful company.

Since the beginning of time, leadership has been a requirement of society. Effective leadership is necessary, a main component for the success of a company. Leadership is a vital process of relationship building between individuals. Effective leaders develop performance by assuming capability and constructing upon existing strengths. If a company's objective is to improvement, effective leader is undeniable necessity. A good team leader is someone that can take responsibility for his or her own decision and subordinates’ actions. In order to be an effective team leader, one must have the abilities of having a vision, responsibility, and interpersonal communication skills. Good leaders should be able to communicate as well as motivate employees effectively.
There are believes that great leaders are made, not born. The fact is that some people already possess talent naturally in leadership skill. However, without training, without ambition, without passion, and without experience, that talent cannot develop into effective leadership. How to define leadership? According to Robert Morehouse, leadership is described in various ways: “an art, something to be learned over time”, “having clarity and focus”, and “having a guild vision” (Business Library). Within this essay question I’m going to be discussing four different factors that aided Joseph Stalin in becoming leader of the USSR by 1929. These four factors are Trotsky’s errors, errors of others, powerbases and Stalin’s own skills.
