Learning to drive a vehicle is often a milestone experience in one`s life. It provides excitement for some and uneasiness for others. The importance of any training program is to facilitate an open and comfortable environment where individuals feel they have the support from their instructors. Upon successful completion of the written G1 test and eye exam, individuals will have the opportunity to take part in the beginner’s training program. This program helps prepare individuals for their G2 examinations or simply to learn how to drive. It consists of 10 one on one, one hour sessions with an experienced instructor.

Objective: Upon completion of the training program, the trainee is expected to be equipped with all the skills and knowledge to drive a vehicle safely to successfully pass their G2 examinations.

Content of training program: The program will cover all aspects of driving including manoeuvring, parking, city and rural driving, lane changes, parallel parks, three-point turns, uphill/downhill parking, roundabouts and intersections.

Intended Training Methods: The trainee will observe trainer as he/she models the desired behaviours for driving before the trainee takes the seat, and any time requested by the trainee to demonstrate how to perform tasks. Most of the training will consist of active practice which will allow the trainee to practice performing the task while applying all knowledge and skills during training (pg. 145). They will do this by physically taking charge in the driver seat and learn how to drive with instruction and guidance from the instructor.

Conditions of Practice:
Pre-training intervention. Most of the knowledge would already be gained by successfully completing G1 examinations (written knowledge exam) that is requirement in order to register for the training program. However, just before the start of every session,

... School of Computing and Technology File Management System in Linux CUI Interface A Project Dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the Regulations governing the award of the degree of BA in Computer Studies, University of Sunderland 2006 I. Abstract This dissertation details a project to design and produce a prototype Linux character environment file manipulation assisting application. The application is offering a friendly menu driven interface to handle the jobs that non-programmers keep finding cumbersome to master when it comes to working in a Unix/Linux interface, resulting in serious mistakes and much loss of productive time. The Linux File Management System is a basic program for every user at a Unix/Linux terminal. Advantages here include the fact that the support team does not have to be burdened with solving simple file based queries by the employees. The areas of Designing GUI interfaces in Linux and Windows versus Linux Security were researched and a prototype has been designed, developed and tested. An evaluation of the overall success of the project has been conducted and recommendations for future work are also given. Words II. Investment Banking: Information

...INTRODUCTION HOW TO REALLY GET A JOB IN BANKING: The single most important thing you can do is to talk to as many people as you can. Talk to bankers and second years at SOM, learn about their experiences and views, and above all think for yourself. Getting a job in investment banking should involve two efforts on your part: (1) Learning your own needs - what is it you want in a job? (2) Learning what an investment bank is and does - does this type of job meets your needs? As a final warning, there is an allure to investment banking, namely that it is a high powered, fast-paced, exciting, dynamic career that can make you rich. This can be true, but it is also just a job - particularly as a first-year associate when it may not be as glamorous as you thought it would be. QUALITIES THAT INVESTMENT BANKS LOOK FOR It is important to see yourself as a portfolio of skills and qualities conducting an internet job search as well as any other. There are a number of skills and qualities that banks look for, and a successful candidate needs to put together several, but certainly not all of them. Additionally, it is probably a good idea to have some balance in your portfolio. Some qualities that banks look for on a resume or in the interview and some suggested ways to demonstrate them (these are just a few, and some banks will emphasize some more than others): Show a strong interest in Finance:  Be able to convey to an interviewer/contact that you understand what...

Online Gaming Addiction

...The Art of Computer Game Design by Chris Crawford Preface to the Electronic Version: This text was originally composed by computer game designer Chris Crawford in 1982. When searching for literature on the nature of gaming and its relationship to narrative in 1997, Prof. Sue Peabody learned of The Art of Computer Game Design, which was then long out of print. Prof. Peabody requested Mr. Crawford's permission to publish an electronic version of the text on the World Wide Web so that it would be available to her students and to others interested in game design. Washington State University Vancouver generously made resources available to hire graphic artist Donna Loper to produce this electronic version. WSUV currently houses and maintains the site. Correspondence regarding this site should be addressed to Prof. Sue Peabody, Department of History, Washington State University Vancouver, peabody@vancouver.wsu.edu.
