...1) Three external or outside forces that I think impacted Tucker attempt to build and sell his car was, one could have been the fact that they tried to ruin his image (Tucker) his public image by saying and accusing him off things. Another could be that he couldn’t get the right steel that he needed to make his car they way he wanted to for a good price or rate, and the third could have been the delay in him getting the plant where he could start building in put him back a while and caused delays for making and releasing the car. 2) I wouldn’t say that the rivalry was big or intense but I would say it was around or it could have gotten intense if he started off right with the money to build and have a building to manufacture the car and get the steel at a good rate he could have made the car in a timely fashion I think the big three would have either tried to buy his idea or get in on it or did things to keep him from selling it and getting it out like the little things they tried but would have been on a bigger scale. 3) Yes, I think that there were a couple entry barriers. One was that the Big Three made steel expensive to were Tucker couldn’t get it at a good price, another was that the building for him to build in he couldn’t get it because off the delays from the government. 4) Yes I think that in these days that what the Big 3 did to tucker people and businesses do that today to other small businesses by hiking up prices or buying up shelf space to...

Snapdeal’s business and platform model is anchored by an innovative system that incorporates updates from both sellers and shoppers. The platform enables sellers to list products for sale on the site, manage inventory, and make pricing changes in real-time based on what is happening in the marketplace. High volume—for example, a pair of shoes sells every 30 seconds— means that thousands of sellers are making dynamic price adjustments. This results in Snapdeal’s inventory and pricing management system processing more than 500 writes per second. Meanwhile, shoppers on Snapdeal.com review and rate sellers for customer satisfaction based on their experience with the product, including shipping, delivery and returns. With every page click, Snapdeal.com combines the updates from shoppers and sellers to display the most relevant products, as well as rankings for all the sellers that are offering the product by price, delivery time, and customer satisfaction. What Are the 6 Most Common Selling Mistakes to Avoid

...The Six Most Common Selling Mistakes to Avoid By Mike Schultz You're at an industry event mulling over which cheese will go best with which crackers at the buffet. The person next to you introduces himself. You introduce yourself. Then he says: "So tell me, what do you do?" The challenge is to communicate the key elements of your value. When we work with our clients to teach them how to sell, we tend to focus on helping them learn the right things to do. However, even those on the right track can get derailed by common mistakes. It's often just as helpful to know what not to do as it is to know what to do. Here, then, are the most common mistakes we see people making when trying to answer the question, "What do you do?" and ideas for how to avoid them. Mistake #1: Talking, but not saying anything "Our solutions help Fortune 500 and mid-size companies succeed. Our unique blend of people, process, and technology allows us to build and deliver value over-and-above our competitors. One unique thing about us is..." Even if it's well-practiced and smoothly delivered, a cliché that doesn't communicate anything is still a cliché that doesn't communicate anything. Make sure you avoid sounding like a buzzword bingo robot and focus on adding value to the conversation. Building rapport is a major component of a successful sales conversation. Starting off with a cliché, however, won't help build rapport - it's more off-putting than endearing. Mistake #2: Going...

...Venture capital flows to tech startups Tech investors at the iHub offices at Bishop Magua Centre on Ngong Road, Nairobi. Stephen Mudiari | Nation  By JEVANS NYABIAGE jnyabiage@ke.nationmedia.com Posted Monday, November 8 2010 at 16:00 In Summary * Equity financiers scout for buyouts in Kenya as mobile and internet spur innovation Kenya’s tech environment is bustling with innovations driven by mobile telephony and strong entrepreneurial spirit, but access to capital remains a major constraint. This has created a magnet of venture capitalists in Kenya seeking to fund tech startups. Venture Capitalists are investors who scout for promising startups and small businesses with potential for huge profits. Venture Capital funds make money by owning equity in the companies they invest in. Mr Brian Hirman, a co-founder of eVA Fund, says Nairobi is recording high growth of start-ups in digital, ICT, web and mobile. “There’s a lot of entrepreneurship also motivated by Kenyan whiz kids who have studied in the US or Europe. There are lots of bright people with strong digital business ideas,” says Mr Hirman, whose fund has invested in Kenyan tech start-ups. Pitching for cash On October 18, 2010, at the Ihub incubation centre, five venture capital funds listened to pitches from eight startups. The forum was organised by the Kenya ICT Board as follow-up to the $3 million in content grants funded by the World Bank. The Venture Capitalists, or VCs, on the panel were eVA Fund, Fanisi...

While enjoying the performance they noticed a problem in the music industry. They realized that bands in general could benefit if they could get better access to the venue managers. The two graduates from Delhi College of Engineering thought like true techies - to make the live entertainment industry democratic for all artistes small & big alike, they need a tech platform which could connect them to all possible venues. Such a platform they realised would benefit not only the performers, but also the music live entertainment industry as a whole. And, thus the idea behind TommyJams was born. Given that Parth Saxena was a Music Enthusiast, it wasn’t a stretch that he could relate to the issue at hand. He also had an experience of being a part of various bands in Bangalore, as a freelance guitarist & vocalist.
