QUICK FACTS ABOUT EGBODO BENSON
Mr Egbodo Benson, an educrat, a pedagogue, a science integrator, a blogger, a computer guru, and a potential leader hails from Anyagbedo, Anyinaji-Ipinu (the ancient kingdom of Ebonda), Ukpa, Igede, Oju Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria.
He attended his rudimentary education at L.G.E.A. Pilot Primary School, Ukpa Centre between 1990 and 1995. He forged ahead immediately to the defunct Shepherd Grammar College, Ochodu in 1995 and afterwards transferred to Government Secondary School, Ikachi in 1998 where he completed his secondary education in 2001. In 2002, he proceeded to the famous College of Education, Oju and graduated with the Nigeria Certificate in Education in the discipline of Integrated Science (DM) in 2005. Because of his curious taste for knowledge, he applied and as well admitted and matriculated in 2007 into the esteemed Benue State University, Makurdi and obtained a Bachelor of Science Education Degree (honours) in 2009.
He was mobilized and deployed to Bauchi State in 2011, batch ’A’ for his mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and later relocated to Rivers State as a result of 2011 post-election mayhem. He was posted to Community Secondary School, Aluu, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State for his primary assignment. He taught Mathematics and Physics in Senior Secondary one and two. During the period of his NYSC, he simultaneously underwent an International Project Management Professionals (IPMP) course and bagged the certificate in the same year. He completed his service year peacefully in 2012. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Science Education in the Department of Curriculum and teaching, Faculty of Education, Benue State University, Makurdi.
He also offered many ICT courses including Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Database Management, Word Processing, Internet browsing, etc as means of making himself relevant to the digital world of science, information and technology.
Mr Egbodo Benson is a renown activist of many reputable organizations: a member of International Project Management Professionals (IPMP); a former president of Ebonda Youth Development Association (EYODA) between 2005 and 2009; Secretary General, Youth Section, Methodist Church Nigeria, Ebonda from 2004-2005; treasurer, Union of Integrated Science Students, College of Education, Oju chapter from 2004-2005; a renown member of National Union of Igede Students (NUIS) between 2007 and 2009; and a famed member of many social networks and e-forums.
Mr Egbodo Benson’s principal hobbies include teaching, blogging, googling, offline and online browsing, e-chatting, reading technical papers, writing, listening to news, and playing music.
He believes and recognizes the sovereignty and supremacy of Almighty God and prays unceasingly for longevity and strength that will ladder him to the zenith of education and climax of achievement.
