Primetne su varijacije u ra{irenosti pojedinih etnikona na osnovu izu~avanja regija Isto~na i Zapadna Halkidika, Strumska oblast sa dolinom Strume, Kedrilionom, Volvonom i Pangejskom gorom. Promene koje se mogu pratiti zavise uglavnom od procesa helenizacije.
