Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene.
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes,
A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Doth with their death bury their parents’ strife.
The fearful passage of their death-marked love,
And the continuance of their parents’ rage,
Which, but their children’s end, naught could remove,
Is now the two hours’ traffic of our stage.
The which, if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Juliet talking to herself right before she takes the potion.
Act IV, Scene iii

Farewell! —God knows when we shall meet again.
I have a faint cold fear thrills through my veins
That almost freezes up the heat of life.
I’ll call them back again to comfort me—
Nurse! —What should she do here?
My dismal scene I needs must act alone.
Come, vial.

Juliet on the balcony.
Act II, Scene ii

O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.
‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy.
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face. O, be some other name
Belonging to a man.
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name;
And for thy name, which is no part of thee,
Take all...

Bobby Petrino Ethical Case

...Bobby Petrino: Arkansas Razorbacks Coach Bobby Petrino was the head football coach for the University of Arkansas and in his four-year career led the Razorbacks to a 34-17 record. He dreamed of driving the Razorbacks to a championship win; however, his dream was shattered due to his own poor and unethical actions. Bobby Petrino’s inappropriate relationship with a former student, misuse of program funds, and dishonesty led to his dismissal from the University. This paper gives a brief overview of the Bobby Petrino case, my thoughts on his behavior and University’s action against him. Case Overview In overview of the Bobby Petrino case, Petrino was a married man with four children and he had an excellent career coaching the Arkansas Razorbacks football team. He coached the Razorbacks to many victories during his time at the University of Arkansas and won the appreciation, trust, and respect of Razorback fans for his accomplishments. However, he lost all appreciation, trust, and respect when his affair with 25-year-old former University volleyball athlete, Jessica Dorrell was televised and released in the news. His actions brought shame and embarrassment upon his team and the college. On top of having an affair with her, he used program funds to hire her as his athletic coordinator and supplied her with a personal bonus/gift for taking the position. Dorrell was hired into her position because of her relationship with Petrino not her qualifications. There were several......

Bobby Orr - a Biographical Presentation by Peter Stylianou

...BOBBY ORR - LEGENDARY NHL DEFENSEMAN Bobby Orr: A Biography Presentation by Peter Stylianou REMARKABLE ATHLETE: Bobby Orr is considered, along with Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe, to be one of the three greatest hockey players of the modern era. Emerging from Parry Sound in Ontario’s near-north, he redefined the defensive style of hockey; there was nothing like it before him. He was the first to infuse the defenceman’s position with offensive juice, driving up the ice, setting up players and scoring some goals of his own. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 1966 and quickly won the Calder Memorial trophy as the league’s most outstanding rookie. After 12 phenomenal seasons, Orr posted a total of 915 points in only 657 games. He was almost re-writing record books as he was setting so many at such a fast pace. He was the first player to win three straight MVP Hart trophy awards and eight straight Best Defenseman Norris trophies. He was the first defenseman to score twenty or more goals in a season and the only defenseman to lead the league in scoring, and did that twice. His most famous goal won the Boston Bruins the Stanley Cup in 1970 – against the St. Louis Blues in overtime – and led them to a second Cup in 71-72 against the New York Rangers. Just how great, how early? For the 1962-63 hockey season, Orr joined the O.H.L. Oshawa Generals as a bantam-aged 14 year old playing against 19 and 20 year olds, and he was a star. Stephen......

Should Bobby Brown Pull Plug on Daughter

...SHOULD BOBBY BROWN PULL PLUG ON DAUGHTER? The moral issue I wanted to discuss was from a current event in national news. The late Whitney Houston’s daughter (Bobbi Brown) is currently on life support. Brown’s cousin (Jerod Brown) stated that “doctors don’t see any hope for her condition to change”. According to Fox News, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face-down unresponsive in the bathtub on Jan 31 (Fox News, 2015). She has been in the hospital in medically induced coma ever since. As we know, her mother (singer Whitney Houston), was found dead in a bathtub February 11, 2012. As a father of three beautiful daughters, this was very near and dear to me because I can only imagine the pain and concern that Bobbi Kristina’s father (singer Bobby Brown) could be going through. What would I do if I was in his situation? Would I want my own daughter to have a fighting chance to live until there was no chance of life? Or would not want my daughter to have to go through the state of being a “vegetable” and take her off life support. This is a moral issue for many Americans who have loved one on life support. According to Thirty-Mile Zone (TMZ), “Bobby Brown is adamant ... he doesn't want to take his daughter Bobbi Kristina off life support because he believes in God-driven miracles.” (TMZ, 2015). I am a proponent of Brown’s decision to keep his daughter on life support and putting his trust in GOD to work a miracle. Being A Christian myself, we are taught......

...With modern medicine moving along at a high velocity it seems like many of the tried and true methods of the past are being overlooked and passed by. The newest drug or the cutting edge laser therapy have replaced methods that were in practice since the beginning of time. Now the newest drugs will save many lives and the cutting edge laser therapy will raise the standard of living for many but there is just no substitute for some of the old ways. Hypnosis is a way for the mind and the body to get in sync and for a person to get deep inside of their subconscious to get to the root of the problem. It has come under fire because of a select few but has some real benefits to it. It is a technique that has been used to help people for many generations and needs to be looked at today by more people as an alternative method of healing and as a companion to traditional healing. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation where a person is able get rid of distractions and get to the place in their mind where habits are formed, where fears come from, and where dark memories wait to be brought to the surface. It is not what you see in the movies and not what most people make it out to be. No one will ever waive a watch in front of your face and say, "you are getting sleepy." Bobby Knight Jobs would be Bobby Knight, Indiana’s all-time winning basketball coach. Knight has won over nine hundred collegiate games in his career and won the NCAA Championship three times. Knight’s leadership and management had a similar style to Jobs, often associated with the words harsh, demanding, successful, and cruel. Both leaders had similar styles due to pushing the boundaries and demanding hard work and success. Steve Jobs’ critics often tend to point out the harshness in his personality. In reality, it was his personality that brought Apple to life as a company. Without Jobs’ vision, desire for perfection, and persistence, Apple could have died out or been overtaken by another technology firm. Jobs’ led with high emotion and intensity, often leading to confrontation and verbal abuse. However Jobs put it best, saying “these are all smart people I work with, and any of them could get a top job at another place if they were truly feeling brutalized. But they don’t “(Isaacson 4). People working for Jobs saw his vision and experienced the results. It was no coincidence Apple became the largest technology company in the world under the direction of Steve Jobs. When asked about his greatest creation, Jobs responded with Apple the company because it is much harder to sustain a business than build a great product. Jobs focused on innovation through simplicity by motivating his employees with high energy, extreme emotion, and pushing the limits. Bobby Knight’s......

Black Panther

...across America’s television screens, which was a new and compelling phenomenon in American life and popular culture, young urban Blacks rejected nonviolence. This began the rise of the Black Panther party. The Black Panthers were formed in California in 1966 and they played a short but important part in the civil rights movement. The Black Panthers believed that the non-violent campaign of Martin Luther King had failed and any promised changes to their lifestyle via the 'traditional' civil rights movement, would take too long to be implemented or simply not introduced.  The language of the Black Panthers was at first non violent as was their public stance. The two founders of the Black Panther Party were Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale. They preached for a "revolutionary war" but though they considered themselves an African-American party, they were willing to speak out for all those who were oppressed from whatever minority group. The call for a revolutionary war against authority at the time of the Vietnam War alerted the FBI to the Black Panther's...

Persuasive Paper

...The state of Louisiana ran by Bobby Jindal administration decided to change the insurance of Louisiana state employees and retirees to help build the reserve back up that dwindled due to miss management. Louisiana’s Office of Group Benefits, which provides health care coverage to 230,000 state employees, retirees and teachers, had $500 million in reserves in 2011. By lowering health premiums for employees and retirees, state agencies also paid less for benefits—and used the money on other budget needs instead, according to analysis by the public Affairs Research Council. But with reserves dwindling rapidly, premiums were increased in July, prescription drug benefits were cut in August and the Jindal administration announced dramatic changes for 2015. All of Louisiana state employees now have to suffer because of mismanagement by state officials. Is it the fault of all 230,000 people covered that the reserves are dwindling? Why do the people have to pay for some narcissist individual that cannot manage money? As a state employee for the past 10 years I have seen my health care coverage decrease. In 2008 the state employees were insured by Humana, which was a great insurance company. Humana had low premiums, great prescription coverage, and good out of pocket cost. Then around 2011 we had to switch to Blue Cross Blue Shield and some huge changes were made in the prescription coverage. Deductibles went up and prescription medicines are no longer covered if there is a generic......

Sports Essay

...that games are now fairer. The element of chance and luck has been almost removed. Sports equipment refers to a large amount of equipment which is used in sports. Starting with the bats, and balls, and rackets to the shoes and socks and glasses there are a lot of things that come under the umbrella of Sports equipments. About 25 years ago tennis rackets were made from wood, with ash, maple etc. leading the way. Later in the sixties metal frames were introduced. Today composite rackets are the rage because of the efficiency they offer in accelerating the ball across the net and in terms of the dangerous vibrations that lead to tennis elbow. For example Bobby Riggs with his 1939 wooden racket, would have no chance against Pete Sampras armed with an oversized composite racket with an enlarged “sweet spot”, although Bobby Riggs was an excellent player. The shoes today offer greater grip and have better cushioning which helps...

Seale served in the U.S. Air Force during his youth, and then attended Merritt College. Seale’s radicalism began in 1962, when he first heard Malcolm X speak, and since then he was a changed man. Following the World War II many cities like Oakland and others throughout the West and the North began to see change. Migration among black families began to happen, which resulted in a new generation of young African-Americans. ...Michael Wainman Ms. O’Reilly ENG4U-01 July 5th, 2016 Plagiarism – to Katrina Hello Katrina, I am writing to you in order to clear up your confusion on why I believe that your passage on Middle English, in your essay on Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, is plagiarized. First of all, I do not believe that you intentionally plagiarized it although based off of the sentence structure it is a paraphrase of C. Hugh Holman’s definition of Middle English from A Handbook to Literature. You did reword your passage, but in terms of each sentence of your passage, they contain identical information compared to the sentences C. Hugh Holman’s passage about Middle English, in the exact same order as well. Since you did not cite your passage, the penalty would be to receive a grade of zero on the entire assignment. Although, I do believe you when you say it is common knowledge, and I also do believe that you did this unintentionally and not on purpose, so I shall instead disregard that specific passage Middle English, and not evaluate that section. For future reference, there are many techniques that you can use in order to avoid plagiarism. To begin, if you plan on summarizing, paraphrasing, or quoting, you must create a citation no matter what. Aside from those things, to avoid plagiarism in the first place you should record all of your sources when you make your notes, or create a summary of something that you plan on using and then when you are actually writing in your essay...

Pin Curling Your Hair way to start this look is with clean hair. Wash hair with your normal shampoo and conditioner, and then towel dry until it is only semi-damp. Apply a frizz-fighting crème, and proceed to blow dry hair straight. Gather the essential pin-curl materials: setting lotion, bobby pins and a rat tail comb. Make sure that you place your pins in an easily accessible place, preferably in front of a mirror. Begin by applying a bit of setting lotion to a one-inch section of hair; this will make strands malleable, and more likely to hold a curl. Wrap the ends of the hair around two fingers, circling twice. Proceed to roll the hair up towards the scalp in a tight loop. Be sure to loop the hair in a circle without actually twisting the hair itself, as twisting the strands can affect the integrity of the curl. Once you have rolled the hair all the way up to the scalp, gently secure the curl with two bobby pins, crossing over the loop of hair in an “x” pattern. Repeat the process until you have pinned the entire head of hair. Wrap a silk scarf around your head and apply gentle heat to the hair, using a blow dryer on the lowest setting. Remove the scarf and allow hair to cool. Gently remove the bobby pins to reveal a head full of gorgeous, shiny, and beautifully retro pin curls. Channeling old Hollywood glamor has never been...

The ten pointes of the party platform were: 1) "Freedom; the power to determine the destiny of the Black and oppressed communities. 2) Full Employment; give every person employment or guaranteed income. 3) End to robbery of Black communities; the overdue debt of forty acres and two mules as promised to ex-slaves during the reconstruction period following the emancipation of slavery. 4) Decent housing fit for the shelter of human beings; the land should be made into cooperatives so that the people can build. 5)......
