Brian Silverstone was a brilliant historian. Always drowned in his studies, trying to discover the mysteries of the past, looking up countless sources at a time, always trying to solve cases that may be beyond any normal human's capacity. He always stayed up late, sometimes until the morning simply thinking... Just thinking, pondering on two words that always arouse his doubts. What if?.

One particular day, Brian is sitting behind his desk in his house and drowned in his thoughts, as usual, heard an unusual sound coming from outside his house. He took a quick look at the time, which indicated 10:34 PM, and then went to investigate the strange noise. He gently and quietly opens his door, and takes a peek outside. The noise had suddenly disappeared, and no one was there. He closed the door, and as he turned around... He saw something rather disturbing. The clock indicated that it was already midnight. As he started approaching the clock, he noticed something else... The clock was frozen exactly at midnight, and is not (for some reason) functional anymore.
