Early morning, at 5am. In Baghdad Iraq, Kasim prepares to leave the house while his son Akram is holding on to his leg crying and asking “Dad why do you have to leave so early?” Kasim replies as “Don’t worry son, it will be fine. I will be back by 8pm” and asks his wife Melody to take Akram to the school. Even it was early morning, invading force’s started to launch airstrikes, which shaked the ground, crying babies were able to be heard everywhere. Meanwhile Kasim was standing at guard tower looking for hostile forces. Around 8am, Kasim saw dust storm far away, looking closely at the storm, he saw something and rang the alarm. What he saw was enemy forces coming in order to attack them. Thanks to Kasim, the military base was alerted …show more content…
However they still took many casualties, including Kasim’s friend Milad. Milad was a dad of two sons and beautiful wife Iana, Commander ordered Kasim to go to his family and tell them their beloved husband and dad died bravely in battle. He slowly walked toward Milad’s house, and that's when he heard jets roaming the sky, and explosions followed by. He ran toward Milad’s house, but what he found was collapsed house in a huge hole. He looked around in panic to figure out what just happened, though all he saw was people crowding at the bomb site crying and shouting their families names. That’s when he heard another explosion by the direction of his house. When he arrived at the site where the explosion has happened, he met his wife Melody crying in front of collapsed school, Kasim asked her “Where is Akmir?!” Melody responded as crying and pointing at the debris. Melody said “I came to pick him up after school, I saw Akmir waving from the window and than explosions happened and he was gone..” Kasim tried to run toward the debris, but police officers and other people around him stopped Kasim saying it's too dangerous, but all they could hear was Kasim yelling “My son! My son is in there! I know he is still alive and
