Sarel, her dogs, Musa, and the murder of Sarah's parents put everyone in a barren land with barely any water. Musa has special water powers and they are on a mission to get away from the kidnappers for who once got Musa for his powers, and to survive. Sarel and Musa travel non stop to stay away from the bad guys who kill everyone in their path and find water, but as they are walking, they run into one of them and a dog chokes and dies. They eventually get away but now they are on a mission to find water. The ending is marvelous and well written, Musa and Sarel find water, while they are still suffering from all their bruises from being abused. The theme of this story is courage- to deal with conflict, lack of, and developing, and conquering
