The Frequent Shopper program will allow customers to earn points that can be redeemed for awards such as food products, special gift and airline tickets. The Frequent Shopper Program will help obtain information on customers and their activity to increase revenue. According to Kudler Fine Foods (2004), “The customer purchase behavior patterns will help Kudler refine its processes and offerings to best satisfy their valued customers, (Sales and Marketing, para. 3). This information will help identify products and services that the customer may be interested in.

The Frequent Shopper program is collecting information from customers and has to take precautions to not break any privacy laws. Kudler has to take measures to keep any customer information obtained secure and should have a disaster recover plan in case of a security breach. Kudler expresses that the new program is vital to the success of the company by providing a better shopping experience to its customers. In order to provide a better shopping experience, Kudler needs to obtain customer information that is used to suggest products that a customer may be interested in or to send notification on items on sale that the customer frequently purchases. Customers are provided with a disclaimer that informs them of how that information will be used during the registration process. The disclaimer will also inform if the information gathered will be shared or not and how it will be used if shared. Kudler should keep customer information security a top priority and take measures to prevent identity theft. A disaster recovery plan...

...Financial and Accounting (F & A) Systems Team A Business Systems – BSA/310 May 13, 2013 Current Challenges Riordan Manufacturing is using different business systems throughout their branches. These different systems are causing difficulties, which produces errors in reporting and argument between these branches. San Jose has a license for a fully integrated Windows system without application source code. Michigan has a vendor software application that is no longer supported due to the vendor no longer being in business. To compound the issue, Georgia’s software is from a different vendor than Michigan’s vendor. A company that uses multiple systems will run into numerous difficulties, which can be prevented or resolved by planning and integration of a single business system that was designed and configured for all braches to access and use. Each of the department’s data are collected from different sources, some data is stored on hard copies that need to be reentered into the other system so that it is digitally available, which other branches are currently using. As a result of all the time it takes to transfer all existing data currently on hard copy, a lot of manpower hours are being wasted during this process. With the use of multiple codes on the many business systems that are currently in place, data needs to be converted to the proper code before each system can recognize the data. The above mentioned two issues, data that is hard copied and......

...Riordan Service Request Week 2 Draft BSA/310 Business Systems June 11, 2012 Riordan Manufacturing Riordan Manufacturing is a large company that employees over 500 people and has companies in Albany Georgia, Pontiac Michigan and Hangzhou China. All three of these manufacturing plant work as a separate company with its own specially designed software and there corporate Headquarters are in San Jose California. An Intranet is an integral part of information sharing within a company. Most critical information to how a business or operations run, why things are done the way they are done, policies and procedures, and required and frequently used forms can also be housed on a company’s intranet. “An intranet is a computer network with restricted access, as within a company, that uses software and protocols developed for the Internet.” (1) Riordan Manufacturing utilizes an Intranet on their company site, but “underutilizing” might be a more correct description. The Riordan Manufacturing Intranet home page features the company’s Mission Statement, a description of the company, company history, and links to different departments for information, policies and procedures. This information should almost be considered “eyes only” meaning that certain people should only have access to the information. Obviously any employee should be able to reference any and all of the information found on the company intranet, but someone browsing the Internet shouldn’t......

Technology Strategies

...Technology Strategies Valerie McQueen-Vance BSA/310 March 2, 2015 Jennifer Streker Technology Strategies Optimizing communication between employees and constant access to information is becoming more significant to how businesses operate each day. How can a business expand the capabilities of these two necessities for their employees? Throughout the last week I have researched access to information and communication options that are currently on the market today. There are a many that are in the developmental stages. The ability to link employees through the use of technology can improve the company’s overall operation. I found two interesting initiatives that are proposed and felt that they would be relevant in our Week 5 team project: Bubble Films. The first prospect is a joint effort between AT&T and Microsoft. “The new solution, AT&T Mobile Office Suite, helps to improve employee productivity while in the office or on-the-go.” (AT&T, Unk) The new merger will provide user access to a cloud-based solution at a reasonable cost. The second prospect is a new personal assistant application that will help manage an employee’s calendars, emails, and contacts related to their job. “The idea is to offer individuals whose business requires them to maintain relationships an easy way to receive reminders to reach out to those most important to them.” (Perez, 2015) Although I chose two new technologies to highlight, there are many options available to......

...Cathy Bryant BSA 310 Week 2 -individual assignment William Zhang 5/9/2011 Critical Information Systems: Huffman Trucking: Founded in 1936, out of Cleveland, Ohio, Huffman Trucking had one truck and trailer. By 1945 Huffman Trucking had 16 trucks and 36 trailers. With continuous growth from internal sales, and the acquisition 5 Eastern regional carriers, the company continues to be privately held. Huffman’s corporate office is located in Cleveland Oh. They have hubs located in St. Louis, Bayonne N.J, and in Los Angeles. Huffman’s trucking has a fleet of 800 trucks. Each truck is equipped with a GPS tracking system. This allows each truck and it’s cargo to be tracked to and from its destination. The dispatch is vital to operations, by allowing the truck and cargo to be tracked, and monitored. The companies driver’s are tracked from the moment he and his freight leave the warehouse. It also allows for real time access. Without real time access, remote locations would not be able to access the specific data on the trucks, in real time. Each truck is connected to the system through the real time access. Keeping these systems up to date will increase the speed of delivery and information. Each truck is equipped with a GPS system that is connected to the hub. Each hub has specific information, on all trucks and freight. This way the company knows which trucks are carrying which freight and going to......

Following their enzymatic hydrolysis during food processing or digestion, proteins may release fragments from their primary amino acid sequence. These fragments are called peptides, and many of them are known to be physiologically active. The possible beneficial effects of bioactive peptides have attracted increasing interest in recent years. On the other hand, there are also reports suggesting that some food-derived peptides might adversely affect human health. Among these, β-casomorphin-7 (BCM7), a peptide sequence present in the milk protein β-casein, has been suggested......
