Managing change and Innovation Change is constantly occurring is the business world, and if you’re not ready to change along with it, you will be left in the dust. First off is that change with occurs within an organization called organizational change. This is when people, structure, or technology change that alters the way the organization is ran. More recently most companies are affected by the technology side of the change. Technology continues to improve the way people get work done, based on quality and quantity in most cases. This can affect an organization by forcing them to change their employees from manual laborers to people who know how to work the technology. For the most part it causes a lot of layoffs in companies. Usually if there is a company not taking full advantage of new technologies you may see them fall behind. Cases like this can cause both threats and opportunities. Like I said, if you’re behind you could get hurt, but if you’re on top of the game and become in innovator for the new changes it could have a very positive impact on your organization. There are also changes that occur outside of the organization. These changes are a lot more difficult to predict and can have a larger impact on your company. Things like government laws, new regulations, and economic change are hard to avoid so organizations must be ready for anything. Usually Things like these affect all organizations that you are competing with as well as your own. This is why you must be quick to respond in the best possible way you can come up with. This way the organization can become an innovator instead of, just another company. The stages of an organization during a changing process can be described in three parts. The first is the unfreezing, which means the status quo of the organization. The second is changing, which is just whatever is affecting your company to do something different than normal. Then the third is refreezing, and this means the change that you made becomes part of your new status quo. The faster an organization can properly complete these steps after a change, the more likely they are to positively come out of the change. Technology and economy aren’t the only things that change has an impact on your company though. People are another aspect that can change the way things run. Someone’s attitude, expectations, behavior, and goals can all change different parts of an organization. This can especially occur when it is someone in upper management that changes things on their mind. This is because they have such a large influence on the company, and if they make a change, it can affect everyone from top to bottom.

Without the ability of identifying credible a student runs the risk of basing an assignment around information that is misguided, disproven, or flat out untrue. This is why students should learn how to not only gather information but also evaluate it for accuracy and credibility. * * Describe three strategies that students can use to identify which search results are worth exploring when using the Internet to research a topic? There are quite a few strategies students can use to identify which search results are worth exploring. Firstly, looking at the URL is the most important strategy to me. Looking for ".org", ".gov", or ".edu" in the URL is very important. The website name is also important when doing research, remembering that sites like Wikipedia are not as credible as TheNationalGeographic.com, for example. Most things ending in “.com” may not be the most credible in all cases but there are a few. That is why you must also check the summary or description of the search results. Looking at the synopsis and examining the related searches listed is very important. The summary may show signs of bias, which can show whether the site is personal, political, or research oriented. At times the synopsis may be vague but this does not mean the search is...
