Harry & Sally We all believe men and women can truly be friends. I said yes, but men can’t help but wonder what it’s like to have sex with his female friend. It’s up to him if he decides to act upon his curiosity. As long as the man keeps his mouth shut then he can have a great friendship. Shanta believes men and women can truly be friends because she has guy friends and they get along fine. With all of her guy friends, they have a strong bond. They can talk to her about anything knowing that they will not be judged and they can ask for advice; this is vice versa. They chill and hang out as if she was one of the guys. Jazmine believes men and women can truly be friends because she honestly thinks it’s easier to be friends with people of the opposite gender because it’s less drama and it’s just easier to get along. I do have real female friends, one in particular and there has been times when I wanted something more but it didn’t ruin our friendship and we remained best friends. Jazmine has one male best friend and they’ve been friends for a few months now. At first they were attracted to each other but after a while, they were close and comfortable with one another so the attraction disappeared for both parties. Now they tell each other about other people they see or talk to and they’re both okay with it. Shanta has known her closest male friend for about six years. They went to each other’s prom and they’ve been attracted to each other.
I think you can trust someone who has sexual interest in you because no girl is going to lie about wanting to be more than friends with you. Shanta thinks you can trust someone because one of her male friends has feelings and sexual interest in her, but that hasn’t affected their friendship in any way. One of the reasons why the feelings and sexual interest hasn’t been addressed is because they both are not willing to lose a good friendship. Another reason why the friendship is still going is because they both are in committed relationships. This works well for them because they come to each other when one of use in going through something with their significant other. They come to each other for relationship advice and just to see the opposite sexes point of view in situations. Jazmine believes you can trust what someone says or does who has sexual interest in you because at the end of the day that’s all it is , sexual interest. She’d be more worried if it was love. She thinks being sexually interested in someone doesn’t mean you’re going to lie to them. She just thinks that is how humans are wired, to have sexual interest in the opposite gender and there’s no harm to it.
I do think a man and a woman can spend significant together because you may simply not be attracted to them or they may be unattractive but that doesn’t mean they aren’t your friend. Shanta is a witness that can say girls and guys can spend time together without the friendship going any further. Like she said before she can hang out with her male friends just like she was one of the guys. The fact that she is of the opposite sex doesn’t matter nor affect our friendship. Jazmine thinks men and women can spend plenty of time together without wanting to take the friendship to the next level. She talks from personal experience. After spending so much time with a friend, she starts thinking of them as more of a family member than a friend instead of wanting to take it to the next level.
I would be okay with my significant other going out to spend time with a friend of the opposite gender because I know that I choose trustworthy people to date so I would be okay with it. I may get a little jealous but I can’t choose her friends. Shanta would honestly be okay with her boyfriend going out with his female friends. She would be okay with that because she trust that he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize their relationship. Also, all his female friends are either married or in long committed relationships. Jazmine would not be okay with her significant other spending an evening with a friend because she has trust issues. She has always had trust issues and jealousy problems but she thinks it depends on the person and their character.
When it comes to relationships high and low maintenance doesn’t concern me. My biggest things in a relationship are the things money can’t buy. Shanta is high maintenance because she requires a lot of attention and time. Jasmine is in between when it comes to relationships. It really depends on her partner and how they’re taking the relationship and how they’re feeling about one another.

Explain. All of the children were extremely excited for the sun to come. They knew it only happened once every seven years. The last time almost everyone saw the sun was when they were two years old and don’t remember anything about it or what if felt like, or looked like. They believed the rain would stop and they could finally see the sun. 2) Explain how Margot’s experience of the sun is different from the experience of all of the other children on Venus. Find at least one specific detail to explain. Margot has a different experience with the sun, because she was born on Earth and brought to Venus later in her life, all the other kids had been born there. So Margot had seen the sun every day until she was around four years old. For Example, “...She remembered the sun and the way the sun was and the sky was when she was four in Ohio. And they, they had been on Venus all their lives, and they had only been two years old when the last sun came out...” She had been able to see and feel the sun for four years of her life while all the other kids only saw it and felt it for one hour seven years ago. She is the only one who knows and remembers what it looks and feels like. 3) What Point is made about Margot when the story says that rain had “washed the blue from her eyes”...

Children who are raised by a family that has no structure or morals are at higher risk of becoming bullies. For example, a child that grows up in a substance abuse home usually gets abused by their parents physically and verbally especially when those parents are tweaking for the next high. As a result they tend to express their feelings by inflicting pain on others because they can’t take out their pain on their parents for fear of getting abused more. There are bullies everywhere. They can be children or they can even be adults. A bully is someone who repeatedly intimidates, harasses, discourages, saddens, or harms someone. Though these people come in all shapes and sizes, they seem to be found mostly in public schools, whether it's elementary, middle, or high school. Studies show that 25-35% of teens encountered some type of bullying in their lifetime (Melton et al, 1988; Nansel et al, 2001). Most of the states of America have some type of laws on bullying, while six of them don’t. Even though there are laws, school bullying still seems to be an ongoing issue. Throwing Punches Online

...Cody Robbins Professor Edmunds English 51 WA 4 Throwing Punches Online Children from the 80’s and back only know of abuse from the oppressor in his/her own schools. Whether the bully gave you a “weggy” or a “swirly”, neither was fun nor something you forget. Only way to get away from him/her is to hide or go home, but the children cannot hide any longer. They deal with the bullies everywhere now, including the social media’s. Can you remember the school yard jingle that went, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Obviously that was not and is not the truth. In 2013, the death of Rebecca Ann Sedwick, a 12-year-old 7th grader who took her life in Polk County, Florida, proves that words are capable of harming vulnerable young children. Both physical and nonphysical forms can and do happen anywhere in the school, on the way to and from school, and even online. "Over 13 million American kids will be bullied this year, making it the most common form of violence experience by young people in the nation," (Hirsch, 2011 BULLY, Motion Picture, Weinstein Company). These problems are not just the schools issue, but the parents as well.” Yet because so many horrified parents are bewildered by the technology, they think they are helpless to address the problem it engenders,” (p.32) but this is deceitful, for there is always a way. According to the FBI, "Bullying remains one of the largest problems in schools, with the percentage of students reportedly...
