Business Communication Trends Paper Regardless of the industry in which a business professional is involved in there is one fact that will never be untrue. Business communications is one of the most important abilities to posses in the business world. The flow of vital information can be transported through conversation, email, text message, written letters, and various other means of verbal and even non-verbal communication. Business communications play an important role in any working individuals’ day-to-day activities at work. As technology advances, so does the process of sharing information, which has become faster and more direct. Daily tasks in the office whether big or small all involve business communications regardless of what profession is being practiced. In our day-to-day activities in the office place business communication allows us to share and take in information regarding issues surrounding our work, tasks to be accomplished, and so much more. “Good business communication is about sharing information in ways that are useful to your co-workers, business partners, and clients” (Kienzler, Locker, 2008). Usage of effective business communication, individuals can reduce the amount of time wasted, wasted efforts, lost goodwill, and legal problems that can arise from poor communication. Day-to-day business communications include the usage of emails, sales/marketing letters, telephone conferences, face-to-face discussion, and much more. In my day-to-day work activities communication is mainly comprised of emails, face-to-face conversation, and non-verbal communication such as presentations and pictures.
