...October 6, 2013 The greatest people in business have certain attributes in common. Several personal qualities are important, like a thirst for continuous education, personal drive and motivation, strong goals and ambition, clear vision, and always a great deal of passion. Beyond those personal qualities though, what makes a successful business person stand out from the crowd? (Business School Edge, 2013) I have listed four categories that headline top skill sets. * Communication * Planning * Productivity * Creativity The most important of these is communications and I want my fellow students to know that professionalism can make you a winner in any circumstance. Your professionalism can win you contracts, and your communication skills add to the complete package. Take time to proofread all emails prior to sending; use a business email address with a proper signature; answer the phone professionally; and speak articulately and competently at all times. (Noupe, 2013) Just to provide my classmates with a recent example, recently I was offered a seasonal job as a coordinator and the main feedback from my subordinates was of how I presented myself more professionally than others. If you can communicate professionally in all types’ communication whether it is verbal or written, you will gain respect and develop the necessary skills sets that guarantee success. Does the definition of trespass to personal property in your text differ from the California definition of trespass to computer services? How? I will do my best to respond to all of her questions. Law and the Internet

...unauthorized parties. The trespass to chattels law cannot be correctly applied to internet-related property rights because this law is being incorrectly used and does not adequately address the concerns of internet property owners and the rights they seek to protect. The 19th Century trespass to chattels tort is being utilized in cyberspace to protect systems against unauthorized use in the same way it is used to protect tangible/physical property. This law was first used by internet service providers (ISPs) to fight against unsolicited bulk email or spam, which was being sent in excess over their networks and systems. However, it is becoming increasingly clear that the blanket application of this law to the internet has an adverse impact on the key function of the internet. Trespass to chattelslaw is now commonly used to fight against Robots (BOTs), which are automated programs that search the Internet. In many cases such as eBay v. Bidder’s edge, and Ticketmaster Corp. v. Tickets.com, this law was used to fight the ability of users to search the internet and of providers to present data to users. This ability to search and present data is the primary purpose of the internet, and the overbroad application of trespass to chattels law, without any form of modification or alteration, should not be used to protect internet property rights. Tresspass to Chattels is defined as the act of direct physical interference with chattel owned by someone else without lawful justification. To...
