Business idea and business opportunity can sometimes go hand and hand and for some they mean the same thing. After some research in the Webster’s dictionary the words began to come alive. Business was defined as the principal activity in your life that you do to earn money. Business can also be defined as the activity of providing goods and services involving financial and commercial and industrial aspects. Next we defined idea; an idea is an approximate calculation of quantity or degree or worth, a content of cognition of personal view. Opportunity was defined as a possibility due to a favorable combination of circumstances. It can also be defined as a chance for advancement, progress or profit. A business idea and an opportunity are in fact two separate ways of entering into a business deal of venture.
Example of Business Idea A business idea is in short an idea that you have for yourself to enter into business. This is an idea that as an entrepreneur you provide a business plan and search the market for investors. As the owner of a new business this is pretty much your brain child, it is the business that you have dreamed about and you feel you will be good at. This is the business that you will be the manager CEO of and the profits will ultimately belong to you and the investors. An example of someone who had a business idea would be Steve Harvey, while he entered into a market of clothing the line was all his brain and his designs.
Example of a business opportunity A business opportunity would fall under the category of being invited into a new business as some sort of investor. This is often a chance brought about by a friend or family member that might need extra support financially. This can also be a chance to enter into a business through normal investing.
Conclusion
To me an idea is more or less your brain child. Something that you thought up
