WHEN TO USE BUSINESS RULES
There are a lot of places where you want to start looking at when you want to use business rules instead of just the process logic that we might find within the business process management system. If you have, from an operational standpoint, things like complex routing rules and work selection, things that are fairly complex, rules about how a business operates, it might be becoming clear that you’re going to want to be considering business rules at this point in the process. Also, if you want to be able to change work while it’s inflight, in other words you want to change your process without changing the process map, you want to be able to change, for example, the routing within a particular process, that might be an indicator for having the business rule define which way you go out of one step instead of, for example, having only a predefined one-way-or-the-other type of environment. So there are a lot of things that apply for when business rules come into play from an operational standpoint. From a design standpoint, you want to be looking at business rules where the rules are changing more frequently within the process. If your business is in an industry where the rules change a lot, if you require highly agile processes, then definitely you want to be looking at bringing business rules to bear on this process as well. If you have an existing rules infrastructure or if you have some sort of mandate to separate the business rules from the logic, then definitely you want to be looking at how you can integrate business rules in your environment as well.
BPM/BR USE CASES
Let me give you a few typical use cases. The first is something I mentioned earlier
– where the business rules determine work selection criteria based on some sort of workforce skills matrix that you have. The second is if you have very complex…...

... Without this competitive advantage, many companies will continue to use sea cargo carriers as the tried and true product delivery avenue. India has experienced a boom in international and domestic trade in recent years. Several initiatives were put in place during the late 80’s and early 90’s, which first allowed Air Cargo to provide on-demand passenger service to try to boost tourism. The second policy specified that when a carrier either foreign or domestic achieved a specified level of safety and operational goals they could run services whether scheduled or not between any airports in India that had an available customs facility. In addition, they could set their own cargo rates. The six largest airports in India are Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad with Chennai located on the Coromandel Coast, having the highest air cargo throughput. Chennai has a diverse industrial base with many large companies including computer manufacturing and healthcare. These types of industries are important to the sustainability of air cargo transportation and this type of logistics can give them a distinct competitive advantage. Chennai is also a large hub for India’s automobile manufacturing industry. As we have learned previously this type of industry typically uses just-in-time inventories to reduce their costs. This will push the demand for air carrier usage as these manufacturers continue to use global outsourcing to find the best materials. Key Performance......

...is why there are already more cellphones in use in China today than there are people in America. If you want to appreciate the sort of challenge we are facing, let me share with you two conversations. One was with some of the Microsoft officials who were involved in setting up Microsoft's research center in Beijing, Microsoft Research Asia, which opened in 1998 -after Microsoft sent teams to Chinese universities to administer I.Q. tests in order to recruit the best brains from China's 1.3 billion people. Out of the 2,000 top Chinese engineering and science students tested, Microsoft hired 20. They have a saying at Microsoft about their Asia center, which captures the intensity of competition it takes to win a job there and explains why it is already the most productive research team at Microsoft: ''Remember, in China, when you are one in a million, there are 1,300 other people just like you.'' The other is a conversation I had with Rajesh Rao, a young Indian entrepreneur who started an electronic-game company from Bangalore, which today owns the rights to Charlie Chaplin's image for mobile computer games. ''We can't relax,'' Rao said. ''I think in the case of the United States that is what happened a bit. Please look at me: I am from India. We have been at a very different level before in terms of technology and business. But once we saw we had an infrastructure that made the world a small place, we promptly tried to make the best use of it. We saw there were so many things......

...usually transferred as heat energy, causing the reaction mixture and its surroundings to become hotter. The temperature increase can be detected using a thermometer. Some examples of exothermic reactions are: * Combustion (burning) * Many oxidation reactions, for example rusting * Neutralisation reactions between acids and alkalis When a flame burns it transfers heat to its surroundings. Exothermic reactions can be used for everyday purposes. For example, hand warmers and self-heating cans for drinks (such as coffee) use exothermic reactions. 4. http://www.gizmag.com/hot-can-self-heating-beverages/25646/ Last February, the world welcomed its first self-chilling beverage. Of course, a self-chilling beverage was only of so much interest during a time when much of the world's population could just step outside its door and chill its own beverages in the open air – June might have been a better time for that one. What folks could use during the cold season is a beverage container that automatically warms its contents. That container is called the Hot Can. The double-chambered aluminum Hot Can contains the beverage or soup in its outer chamber, and a mix of water and calcium oxide in its inner chamber. When activated, the water and calcium oxide mix, causing an exothermic reaction that heats the beverage by a total of 50 to 55 degrees Celsius in about three minutes. This means that a drink which starts out at room temperature (20ºC/68ºF) heats up to 70ºC......

His writings extensively refer to the Qur’ān and the Sunnah (as the primary sources of knowledge) and the views of the culamā’ (scholars) who interpret these sources and extensively use simulation, mathematical symbolism and set theory in what he claims is the embodiment of the complex Interactive, Intergrative and Evolutionary (IIE) framework (reflecting a circular causation) of the learning process. He is certainly among a few writers who have attempted a sort of ‘systems’ approach to developing Islamic social political economy. M. ...needs theory The Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory addresses the needs of employees one by one, the physiological needs have to be satisfied first, before the employee shifts on to the next need levels, which will be safety need, sense of belongingness, self-esteem and finally the self-actualization need. For instance at Irish Tesco, the lower level employees will be more interested in the base salary or adequate work environment they get, however, as you go up the management hierarchy, the middle-level employees are motivated to perform well if they have achieved the sense of belongingness and self-esteem in the organization along with satisfaction of physiological need. Adequate base salary is not enough, and the company will have to use other approaches such as increased participation and teamwork to give them a sense of belongingness. For the top management, motivation could be improved through achievement of self-actualization (Smit, 2006; Stimpson, 2010).
