B. Specific Title
Lodging House & Dormitory Management System for Pet Par’s

C. Background of the Study
Pet Pars is a three-storey building established on July 3, 2013. It was designed for residential accommodations. Commercial spaces and lodging rooms can be located on the ground floor of the building. Apartments can be seen on the second floor while rooms for bed spacers are on the third floor.
One of the researchers is a client of Pet Pars found out that Pet Pars are currently encountering problems on monitoring their rooms every month and their clients every now and then. They do the monitoring on their rooms and clients manually which is too much of a hassle and time consuming, which can also be a hindrance for business' upgrade.
Today’s generation is bombarded with many high technology materials or gadgets which they are using in their daily activities in lives. Therefore, the researchers are thinking on what system will they use to lessen the time that can be consumed during monitoring and how to make monitoring hassle-free and how can they help this business grow especially now that there are so many students and interns looking for dormitories and tourists and travellers looking for a place to live for a short period of time.

D. Cited Problems 1. The management/receptionist finds it difficult to monitor the entire building. 2. Locating vacant and available rooms/units for new clients takes a long time. 3. Absence of regular monitoring of payment, due date often results to delay payment. 4. Retrieving and generating client’s information is difficult and time consuming for the management.

E. General Objectives To develop a system that can help Pet Pars by making their work as simple as possible, hassle-free and less time consuming which can be an another factor that can help Pet Pars grow.
F. Specific Objectives 1. To create a system that has more UI’s visual to easily monitor the entire building. 2. To create a system that gives the receptionist a quick-view of available rooms for occupancy. 3. To create a system that displays due date/time to easily notify the user/receptionist. 4. To create a system that locally stores client’s information after registration for easy transactions, especially for clients that stay for a long time.

G. Scope/ Features and Limitation
These are the following scope of the study: 1. The system will automatically notify the user a week before the client’s accounts will due. It will keep on notifying the user until the client’s accounts is settled. 2. As the client checks out, the user can simply reset the system to clear the details shown in the system. 3. The system’s UI is a blueprint-like of the rooms and units. 4. The system has also a built-in cashiering for easy paying method. 5. The system has a log window to view recent activity.
These are the following limitation of the study: 1. User/receptionist and manager can access to the system. 2. Only the manager can remotely access the system for the sales reports. 3. The system’s database is locally stored.

...SAMPLE TECH WRITING PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION AND DISCLAIMER This is an altered version of a real Tech Writing project submitted by a student and passed by an Evaluator. There is no guaranty that either the original version or this altered one would pass evaluation if submitted today. Despite our best efforts to provide consistent evaluation across all students and projects, Evaluators are human and are allowed latitude in grading. Additionally, your interpretation of what you see is likely to be different from the interpretations of others; in other words, even if you strictly follow the model of this paper, there is no guarantee of immediate success with your project. The original work was altered to mask the identity of its author and the various commercial products mentioned. References and their citations were also masked because no effort was made to determine whether other changes affected their validity. The inserted Comments indicate only that all required TaskStream sections are present, not that they are correctly completed for all types of projects. The best that can be said about the original work is that an evaluator found the work submitted to be sufficient to the task. Viewing this sample may or may not produce a similar result for you. Bottom line: You are the author of your work. We hope this sample helps to dissipate some of the uncertainty that surrounds the Capstone Project, but it cannot guaranty a trouble-free process.
