During this essay we will discuss the Disassembly of an M4 Carbine Rifle. The only items needed to perform these directions provided is an M4, M4 magazine, gloves which are optional and the readers undivided attention. Before any disassembly to any weapon no matter what experience level the person may be, the individual must "clear the weapon" in order to ensure that the weapon is unloaded and that there is no round in the chamber.
The first step is to ensure that the weapon is pointed in a safe direction weather it is aimed down range toward targets or toward the ground. You must never point their weapon at something they don’t intend to shoot. Always point your weapon in a safe direction you must always ensure the weapon is on safe at all times until you are ready to use it. If no round is present the weapon is "clear". Push the top portion of the bolt catch to release the bolt. The weapon is now ready for disassembly.
Now to begin disassembly you must push the rear dis-assembly pin, located above the pistol grip, from right to left. Repeat this step on the front dis-assembly pin located above the magazine well. After this step is done the weapon will be separated into the upper and lower receivers by pulling them apart. After the completion of the lower receiver, remove the upper and lower hand grips located on the upper receiver you must pull down on the O-ring located in front of the magazine well while pulling the hand grips away from the barrel to complete this step. Gun Ownership

...Week 5 Assignment PHI103: Informal Logic 29 November, 2012 Are there any legitimate restrictions on gun ownership? Introduction The modern era is heavily dependent on the TV as their chief source of information or news about the rest of the world. Since the nations have simultaneous access to the violent new stories that are exaggerated and sensationalized to generate more and more ratings all over the international television channels, newspapers and even the internet, a lot of people have started thinking whether the U.S. Constitutions’ 2nd Amendment is restrictive enough or not. According to a case in the Supreme Court recently, there was an evaluation of the said Amendment and its context. A question needed answering which were whether there were any legitimate restrictions on gun ownership. According to the ruling of the Supreme Court, other Constitutional Amendments and the dangerous times, there are not many legitimate restrictions in the ownership of firearms. Thesis Statement “There are not a lot of legitimate restrictions in ownership of firearms.”  Discussion In the Court case of Heller versus District of Columbia (D.C), there are arguments which cover almost all possible aspects of the 2nd Amendment. From the year 1975, Columbian District has put a ban within the residents of D.C’s homes, on the unlocked firearms’ possession. The residents were required by law to store any and all firearms which were permissible in the Columbian District disassembled...

...serve, training Soldiers have always been my passion. My expertise has always been military training. Although training Soldiers can be dangerous, it can also be very rewarding. I have witnessed the positive benefits of proper training and the dire consequences of poor training. I have continued serving the Army in the capacity as a government contractor when employed. Therefore, I am fluent with current training and doctrinal methodology. I am aware of areas in which the Army could use immediate assistant in the training of Initial Entry Soldiers (IET). Marksmanship training has always been an area in which the Army have continued to struggle. The basics of being an effective combat Soldier is to qualify with your assigned weapon (M4 carbine). All Soldiers must qualify with their weapon in order to graduate from basic training. The Army has infrequently placed a high precedence on marksmanship proficiency. The Afghanistan conflict is winding down. The Department of Defense will continue draw down the active duty forces in 2014. The goal of the reduction is to reduce the Army's manning structure to 490,000 in two years. These initiatives have effective the availability of much-needed training resources for all Soldiers. Meanwhile, Army commanders are charged with the tasks to develop plans and solutions that will enable the Army to maintain a high state of readiness. Providing services to the Army through contracting has always been a lucrative opportunity. The Small...

Debunking Gun Control from a Christian Perspective

...Abstract This paper critically analyzes gun rights in the United States and the economics of gun centralization. The phrase, “gun rights” refers to the second amendment in which it states that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The term, “gun centralization” is what is most commonly referred to as “gun control,” which is refusing citizens the right to keep certain or all firearms and keeping them solely in the hands of government. There are many different points of view on the issue of gun rights, coming from all political and religious views. It is near impossible to find the truth on the issue while wading through an ocean of loud, boisterous opinions on the extent of gun rights and whether people need guns at all. This paper critically assesses the Republican and Democrat points of views on the two issues, and draws a conclusion to the legitimacy of gun centralization, better known as gun control. Ethical Dilemma Research Paper Gun Rights and the Legitimacy of Gun Centralization Gun control has been the highlight of the news lately. Politicians and caring people all across the United States have seen the tragic events, such as the Sandy Hook shooting, and are now demanding a government takeover of firearms. The dilemma occurs within the right-left political paradigm, two differing ideologies, where the labeled “left” are strongly for gun control, and the labeled “right” are...

The second paper was museum walkthrough guide. This paper was what I liked the most since it was so interesting and fun to write this paper. I went to the museum on the campus and spent about three hours for observation and taking notes. I walked around the museum and visited the museum from the first floor to the third floor. I brought my notebook and draw a map of this museum. Then I go back home and composed this paper by presenting what I seen and how these exhibitions displayed in the museum. Onehundredyearsofsolitude

...Gabriel Garcia Marquez One Hundred Years of Solitude Chapter 1 MANY YEARS LATER as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice. At that time Macondo was a village of twenty adobe houses, built on the bank of a river of clear water that ran along a bed of polished stones, which were white and enormous, like prehistoric eggs. The world was so recent that many things lacked names, and in order to indicate them it was necessary to point. Every year during the month of March a family of ragged gypsies would set up their tents near the village, and with a great uproar of pipes and kettledrums they would display new inventions. First they brought the magnet. A heavy gypsy with an untamed beard and sparrow hands, who introduced himself as Melquíades, put on a bold public demonstration of what he himself called the eighth wonder of the learned al-chemists of Macedonia. He went from house to house dragging two metal ingots and everybody was amazed to see pots, pans, tongs, and braziers tumble down from their places and beams creak from the desperation of nails and screws trying to emerge, and even objects that had been lost for a long time appeared from where they had been searched for most and went dragging along in turbulent confusion behind Melquíades’ magical irons. “Things have a life of their own,” the gypsy proclaimed with a harsh accent. “It’s simply a matter of waking up their souls.” José...

...Praise for The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down “Fadiman describes with extraordinary skill the colliding worlds of Western medicine and Hmong culture.” —The New Yorker “This fine book recounts a poignant tragedy…It has no heroes or villains, but it has an abundance of innocent suffering, and it most certainly does have a moral…[A] sad, excellent book.” —Melvin Konner, The New York Times Book Review “An intriguing, spirit-lifting, extraordinary exploration of two cultures in uneasy coexistence…A wonderful aspect of Fadiman’s book is her even-handed, detailed presentation of these disparate cultures and divergent views—not with cool, dispassionate fairness but rather with a warm, involved interest that sees and embraces both sides of each issue…Superb, informal cultural anthropology—eye-opening, readable, utterly engaging.” —Carole Horn, The Washington Post Book World “This is a book that should be deeply disturbing to anyone who has given so much as a moment’s thought to the state of American medicine. But it is much more…People are presented as [Fadiman] saw them, in their humility and their frailty—and their nobility.” —Sherwin B. Nuland, The New Republic 3/462 “Anne Fadiman’s phenomenal first book, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, brings to life the enduring power of parental love in an impoverished refugee family struggling to protect their seriously ill infant daughter and ancient spiritual traditions from the tyranny of welfare bureaucrats and intolerant...

Montaigne

...1575 ESSAYS by Michel de Montaigne translated by Charles Cotton I. OF CUSTOM, AND THAT WE SHOULD NOT EASILY CHANGE A LAW RECEIVED. HE seems to have had a right and true apprehension of the power of custom, who first invented the story of a countrywoman who, having accustomed herself to play with and carry, a young calf in her arms, and daily continuing to do so as it grew up, obtained this by custom, that, when grown to be a great ox, she was still able to bear it. For, in truth, custom is a violent and treacherous schoolmistress. She, by little and little, slily and unperceived, slips in the foot of her authority, but having by this gentle and humble beginning, with the benefit of time, fixed and established it, she then unmasks a furious and tyrannic countenance, against which we have no more the courage or the power so much as to lift up our eyes. We see her, at every turn, forcing and violating the rules of nature: "Usus efficacissimus rerum omnium magister." I refer to her Plato's cave in his Republic, and the physicians, who so often submit the reasons of their art to her authority; as the story of that king, who by custom brought his stomach to that pass, as to live by poison, and the maid that Albertus reports to have lived upon spiders. In that new world of the Indies, there...
