CAREER FASHIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the year of 1986 Cheryl Roche had an idea to start a local uniform manufacturing business located on Prince Edward Island. In partnership with her sister Carolyn Knox, the company remained local to the island, but obtained multiple contracts for business and demand for their unique design in uniforms for the women’s service industry. The partnership of the company was split between Cheryl, operating the sales and promotion aspects of the business and Carolyn, she was the designer of the uniforms and the manager of the production department.
In early 1987, Career Fashions had been in operation for a little over a year, but Carolyn had decided to step away from the business and the company partnership in pursuit of her own interests. This unfortunate situation left Cheryl with a dilemma of what action to take in regards to the future of the business. Having lost her only designer for the company, which is a crucial aspect for the continued success of the company, she must decide the future for Career Fashions. Various options are available to her from which she has to choose the most viable one and the most recommended and preferable one seems to be she herself managing the production sector and appointing a professional to assist her.
DECISION OPTIONS
Cheryl is currently facing the situation of running Career Fashions with the recent loss of her business partner and company designer Carolyn Knox. Several solutions for Cheryl to implement are listed below. 1. Sell off all inventories and all company assets and close down Career Fashions. 2. Promote a currently employed seamstress to a position of designer and production manager. 3. Cheryl does not find a replacement for Carolyn’s position, but instead becomes the manager of both the sales and production sectors of the company.

...Reasoning Aptitude Paper Intro After completing the reasoning aptitude portion of my career plan, I was a little surprised at the results. This was not the first time that the results caught my attention but I did see how the system was able to produce the information it did in relation to my working abilities, thinking processes and habits.
