Bullying is a dangerous behavior and an epidemic that has affected many children and young adults. This behavior is most commonly defined as being physically threatening to someone else to cause harm. However, with the internet and social media sites in full swing, bullying becomes more intricate and diverse. It can cause emotional damage just as it does physical. Some bullies prefer to harm someone using gossip, name calling and/or leaving someone out of a social circle.
Bullying should be defined accurately so that it can be discussed and prevented. Actions that coincide with bullying do not just impact the bully and the victim, but it can also impact those witnessing it. An incorrectly defined problem creates more of a problem. When researched and clearly defined, strategies can be implemented to prevent bullying from taking place. Also, interventions become more efficient.
The problem is that there are over 217 bullying cases every year, sometimes even more. This is a problem because a lot of teenager’s even adults try to commit suicide by either overdosing with drugs, hanging themselves, or by cutting their wrist, ECT. Bullying can affect everyone, no matter what age, gender, or culture. One of them main people that bullying affect is the victim as well as the parents.
My definition of the term bullying hasn’t changed because the article has the same definition as mine, same accuracy and same subject. My definition is more specific as best of my knowledge, a more specific definition would better because people could understand the different ways of the term bullying and how to be able to prevent it or deal with it. People would have different sources to choose from on how to be able on solving

...Carlos Slim Helu In 1902, Julián Slim Haddad, father of Carlos Slim Helú, arrived to Mexico from Lebanon. He was escaping from the Ottoman Empire, which at the time conscripted young men into its army. One of the markers of Carlos Slim Helu’s success has been his ability to buy and sell at the correct times. His investments in the downturn of the 1980s were the foundation of his wealth, and throughout the 1990s he continued to sell businesses which were successful then use the return to invest in others which were up and coming. Carlos Slim was born on january 28, 1940. He completes his professional studies in civil engineering at the UNAM. By 1965 Carlos Slim aquired companies like inmobiliaria Carso, casa de bolsa inversora Bursátil, embotelladora Jarritos del sur, and some others. Carso was incorporated in January 1966. Carso comes from the first syllable of the names Carlos and Soumaya, Mr. Slim's wife. The Mexican economic crash of 1982 was what delivered the opportunity to consolidate his wealth. In 1990, Grupo Carso and other Mexican investors acquired 10.4% of the companys stock, in partnership with SBC - 5% with an option for an additional 5% - and France Telecom 5%. Since 1990, Telmex has embraced a work culture where training, modernization, quality and customer service is a priority. Ten principles of grupo Carso. 1. Carlos Ghosn

...Master in Management Organizational Behavior & Leadership Case #2: The Personality of Leaders The Personality of Carlos Ghosn: The $10 Billion Man Read the following dossier of article extracts and answer the final questions. 1.- “The $10 billion man” Feb 24th 2005, The Economist Having turned round Nissan, Carlos Ghosn is about to run Renault as well It is said that he could add $10 billion to the market value of Ford or General Motors with a stroke of his pen. But Carlos Ghosn is not about to sign up as chief executive of either firm. Instead, in May, he will become the boss of Renault, France 's second-largest carmaker, while continuing to head Nissan, Japan's number two car firm. To ease the transition, this week he named Toshiyuki Shiga as Nissan's chief operating officer. Although Renault and Nissan have cross-shareholdings and a deep alliance, their relationship deliberately stops well short of outright merger. Perhaps that is why it has been so successful, avoiding the integration pain that has marred, for instance, DaimlerBenz's takeover of Chrysler. In his book, “Shift: Inside Nissan's Historic Revival”, published in English last month, Mr Ghosn says that the strength of the alliance “can be found, on the one hand, in its respect for the identities of the two companies, and on the other, in the necessity of developing synergies.” Certainly the benefit has flowed both ways since the Franco -Japanese deal was done in 1999. First, Renault rescued...

Methos of Carlo

...It could be argued that current physics research could be divided into three areas - theoretical, experimental and computational. Numerical approach, in which systems are mimicked as accurately as possible using a computer or in which computer models are set up to provide well - behaved experimental systems are increasingly providing a bridge between theory and experiment, for instance; the Monte Carlo method (MC) and the molecular-dynamics method (MD). In Monte Carlo method the exact dynamical behavior of a system is replaced by a stochastic process, whereas the MD methods are based on a simpler principle and consists of solving a system of Newton's equations for an N-body system. Stochastic simulation is some times called MC simulation (simulation is a numerical technique for conducting experiment on a digital computer, which involves certain types of mathematical and logical models that describe the behavior of the system over extended period of real time). The generally accepted birth date of the MC method is 1949, when an article entitled "The Monte Carlo Method" appeared, the American mathematicians J.Neyman and S.Ulam are considered to be its originator. The first successful application of this method to a problem of statistical thermodynamics dates back only to 1953, when Metropolis and co-workers studied "fluid" consisting of hard disks. In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, statistical problems were sometimes solved with the help of random selections, that...

Carlos Ghosn Criticism

...Carlos Ghosn weakness Looking into the weak area of Carlos’s leadership, it is very hard to find because, the results from decision he took in past always led to success. One aspect about Carlos’s style that is tough to entitle either weakness or strength as from the earliest sight it describes for the negative association, however, on the other side it has proved very effective. This aspect was his autocratic leadership style when he took over Nissan. By defining clear roles, he told his employees directly what he found to be the problem and he clearly stated his goals. He closely directed his employees about his expectations and focuses on to meet them and challenged employees to try harder. This gave the impression that it could have been threatening to staff; however, they kept on performing which led to success in long run. Another aspect was Carlos by applying negative reinforcement, demanded that everybody had to spoke English at the senior managers meeting. By using his Coercive Power if an employee did unable to speak English, they were separated from the company. Criticism on Carlos: Other than a part of Carlos’s leadership weakness, initially he was also remained a victim of criticism from Japanese’s people and Business analysts (OECD Observer. 1999). An immense resistance from his employees was the promotion of younger once over older and longer serving employees. Carlos has strong belief on fair management. Carlos brought cultural change in promotion based...

...Monte Carlo Simulation Tutorial This tutorial shows how to use Microsoft Excel to develop Monte Carlo simulations without the use of add-ins or special software (such as @RISK or Crystal Ball). (Note, however, that there are some important advantages of using these dedicated software packages.) After completing the tutorial you should have a sufficient understanding of Monte Carlo concepts and Excel capabilities to begin building your own Monte Carlo simulations applied to a wide range of business problems, including the construction of short-term profit plans (otherwise referred to as “Cost-Volume-Profit” models, covered in Chapter 9 of the text). Monte Carlo refers to a widely used approach for solving complex problems using computer algorithms to simulate the variables in the model (e.g., a CVP model). Typically, an algorithm is developed to "model" the problem, and then the algorithm is run many times (from a few hundred up to millions) in order to develop a statistical data set for how the model behaves. Simple Example: Tossing a “Fair” Coin—Heads vs. Tails? For the simplest example, consider the basic coin toss. This is a process which has two possible outcomes (heads or tails), each with a 50% probability. In a million coin tosses, roughly half will be “heads” and half will be “tails.” A simple Monte Carlo simulation would support this conclusion. If you were to develop a spreadsheet with a random number generator resulting in 0 for “heads” and 1 for “tails,” then...

Carlos Ghosn’s Management Style

...I-Carlos Ghosn’s Management Style Carlos Ghosn, clearly an extraordinary man with an impressive list of accomplishments already under his belt at a relatively young age. But what is it exactly about his management style that makes him stand-out from other leaders, why is it that so much attention has been showered onto him? In the first part of this report that is exactly what we will try to uncover. Ghosn truly does have a unique management style, one that is perfectly suited to today’s global economic reality. In our view the following management practices are the ones that have been integral to the success of not only Ghosn’s turnaround of Nissan but also in his previous accomplishments at Michelin and Renault: Adaptability What really strikes you as you read and learn more and more about Ghosn is that he truly does not have any preconceptions or stereotypes. Whether he is facing a new and unknown country and culture or a situation within a company, Ghosn’s approach is what he calls “a clean sheet of paper.” What Ghosn has been able to do so well is transcend what Peter M. Senge describes as “Mental Models” in his article The Fifth Discipline: The Art & Practice of the Learning Organization. As we have seen in the Senge’s article whenever you limit yourself to your Mental Models you reduce you ability to react effectively to changes in the environment. Senge uses the example of oil companies unable to effectively deal with changes in market conditions...
